DMZ’s building 21 is allegedly only accessible for players who own Modern Warfare II. Naturally, players are furious over this absurd decision.
Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is the direct sequel to Warzone. This battle royale title features all traditional Warzone game modes. However, this year Infinity Ward has added a separate game mode in Warzone 2.0 that features its unique essence.
The new game mode title DMZ is Warzone’s take on Escape From Tarkov. The survival looter game mode is based on Warzone 2.0’s map on Al Mazrah. However, Infinity Ward has added a new DMZ-exclusive area labeled Building 21.
As a part of Warzone 2.0 Season 1 Reloaded, DMZ got its first expansion with Building 21. However, fans cannot access Building 21 without owning Modern Warfare II. The new absurdity has enraged players, as Building 21 was integral to DMZ.

What is Building 21?
Building 21 is the codename for a clandestine biological laboratory in Al Mazrah. The exact location of the area has not been revealed yet. Most players might ask what makes this area different from other areas in DMZ. The answer to that is high-tier contraband and loot.
The building contains numerous safes. Regardless, players must get their hands on keycards to access this area. According to the official blog, players must complete a set of in-game challenges in Al Mazrah to get their hands on the keycard to Building 21.
DMZ becomes Exclusive to Modern Warfare 2 Owners
The absurd decision to lock Building 21 behind a paywall was discovered when a player emailed Activision Support. The player could not access Building 21 from DMZ, later on, when they contacted Activision Support, it was clear that it was now exclusive to MW2 owners only.
The untimely decision has been criticized heavily by players and content creators alike. Unfortunately, Warzone 2.0 and DMZ have not been in a good position following the massive player decline.
Infinity Ward has responded that they are investigating the situation, and according to their recent Tweet, Building 21 being locked out is a bug. They are aiming to fix it as soon as they can.
