Disney Dreamlight Valley is a life-sim adventure where you can craft items. And most of them will require wood to do so. Thus here, we will discuss how to farm all types of wood in the game.
Disney Dreamlight Valley puts the player on an island with popular Disney Pixar characters. All the characters have been living on this island peacefully until an event known as the forgetting. After that, various entities started to show up, and the residents took shelter in the castle. Now, it’s up to your character to make friends and restore the world to its former glory.
The game called itself a hybrid of life sim and adventure. You will have to manage different aspects of your character. You will also need to farm different items to create new ones. One of the most common items that are needed is the wood. Several types of wood exist in the game. Here is how you can farm them all.
How Wood Works in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are eight different types of biomes in the game at the moment. Wood is usually found by the foot of the trees in these biomes. Depending on the biome, the type of wood you can find will change. The game has four types of wood: Softwood, Hardwood, Drywood, and Darkwood. Which type of wood you get is not dependent on the trees. Rather, it is dependent on the biomes. Here is a list of which biome produces which type of wood:
Wood Type | Biomes |
---|---|
Softwood | Forest of Valor Glade of Trust Peacefuleadow Plazaiomes |
Hardwood | Forest of Valor Frostedeights Glade of Trust Sunlitlateau |
Drywood | – Forgotten Lands – Frosted Heights – Sunlit Plateau |
Darkwood | – Forgotten Lands |
Farming Each Type of Wood
As we have said before, wood is spawned at the foot of the tree. Only the non-fruit-bearing tree spawns wood. Fruit trees will not do that. Instead, they will spawn fruits. Another thing you need to keep in mind is if the base of the tree has any item like grass or stone on it, wood will not spawn there. You can prevent grass growing at the foot of the tree by making pavement under the tree.
Now, depending on what wood you need, find a biome that suits your purpose. Plant some trees and clear the foot of the tree. Make sure to clear at least 2×2 gird at the foot. So, a tree that requires 2×2 to plant needs 4×4 free space around it to spawn wood. Similarly, a 4×4 will require 8×8 space.
Then, you can go to the biome every day to collect the maximum number of wood it can produce. Keep doing that and you will have enough wood to sustain you throughout your whole journey through the game.
