What is a Legendary Weapon in Dead Island 2?

Dead Island 2 features Legendary Weapons that offer players a significant advantage in combat. These exceptional weapons have unique perks that come with one mod slot and four perk slots for customization. However, some slots are pre-equipped with unremovable mods or perks. And as already mentioned, these weapons are not available until after completing the main story due to their sheer power.

Now, let’s get into the depth.

Big Shot

Russian Roulette: When your magazine runs low, gain a moderate damage boost.

The Big Shot revolver might look ordinary, but it’s actually a shotgun that fires explosive rounds. It’s perfect for crowd control and has a built-in perk that makes it deadly. This legendary-tier weapon is great for clearing paths and saving yourself from being swarmed by zombies. Just aim for the weak points, and let the fireworks-like explosion do the work.

To get the Big Shot revolver, complete the side quest It’s Not Your Fault. Luciana will assign you this quest, and for that, you need to pay a visit to Emma’s Mansion.

The Brutalizer is a machete-type weapon that makes zombie-fighting feel like a brutal industrial process. This weapon has great perks, including Bloodlust, which makes it easy to maim zombies. Combine it with The Limb Reaper skill card to keep your health up while slicing and dicing the undead.

Complete all Six Body Art side quests in Beverly Hills to obtain the Brutalizer by collecting special infected parts such as Oversized Arm Bones, Chthonic Ichor, Infected Spines, Blade Arms, and Mutated Hearts.

Furthermore, when a zombie is killed with your heavy attack, you will become fire-resistant and will set surrounding undead aflame. This one is my personal favorite to cause havoc.

Now, to get it, first, complete the main story. Now, visit the Sterling Hotel and find the bathroom on the first floor to pick up the phone and start the ‘Drunk and Disorderly’ Lost and Found quest. Do the task, and eventually, you will get keys for a certain car. Find the car, and you will find the knuckle dusters.

Its true potential comes out when you aim for the head. The sharpness and precision make it a sought-after tool for taking out enemies in the game.

You can earn this beauty by completing the Fool’s Gold questline. It can be initiated with the Lost and Found quest in the Lifeguard HQ on the Pier. Find clues that will ultimately lead you to discover the Blood Rage.

To find it, complete the main storyline and return to the Military Barracks at Venice Beach. There, you will encounter a zombie called Lt. Ford. He will drop clues for the Lost and Found quest, also known as [Redacted]. Solve it, and you will soon inherit Bodycount.

Krakatoa is the legendary deadly axe that is equipped with the Superior Melee Cremator Mod that burns its foes. On top of that, the Reaper perk to inflict heavy fire damage. It doesn’t end here; Fuel drops as the player continues to attack, making it one of the several movie prop weapons designed to maim and kill the undead.
