This article is the place to find out which teams have qualified for playoffs thus far.

The playoffs are ongoing worldwide, as a few leagues have already finished their playoffs. On the back of the LCK playoffs ending, we now have a few teams that have qualified for Worlds despite the playoffs still going on. Here are the teams that have confirmed a trip to North America for Worlds 2022.

Confirmed Teams at Worlds 2022

Here we will outline the teams that have made Worlds so far, including the number of teams that the region will have in the tournament.

LPL Representatives for Worlds 2022

So far, only two teams have their fates sealed for Worlds 2022. The other two teams will be decided through the regionals starting Friday, a day after the LPL Summer Playoffs 2022 Grand Finals. The two teams that have confirmed Worlds so far are as follows:

  • Top Esports
  • JD Gaming

The two teams will face off each other in the Finals of the playoffs on Thursday. The winner will grab the 1st seed for Worlds 2022 while the loser will be the 2nd seed. The Regionals will decide the other two seeds. The teams in the running for that are as follows:

  • Royal Never Give Up
  • EDward Gaming
  • Victory Five
  • LNG Esports

All the LPL representatives will be confirmed by September 4th as the top 3 seeds will be in the Groups Stage while the 4th seed will be in Play-ins at the tournament.

LCK Representatives for Worlds 2022

LCK Summer 2022 Playoffs Finals wrapped up last Sunday as Gen.G emerged victorious against T1. Both teams will make their appearances at Worlds, while the other teams will be decided by the Regionals, just like the LPL. So far, the confirmed teams from the LCK are as follows:

  • Gen.G (1st Seed)
  • T1 (2nd seed)

Gen.G grabs the first seed after beating T1 in the finals, while T1 grabs the second seed at Worlds 2022 for the highest championship points. Four teams are vying for the two remaining spots. They are as follows:

  • Liiv SANDBOX
  • KT Rolster
  • DRX

Regionals for LCK are set to start from Thursday as the bracket will end on Saturday in three consecutive games to decide the remaining teams for Worlds 2022. Gen.G, T1 and the third seed will be in the Groups Stage, while the fourth-seeded team will be in the Play-ins for Worlds 2022.

LEC Representatives for Worlds 2022

In the West, LEC has locked in three teams at Worlds despite their playoffs only having three games. With the bracket, the top teams have an advantage for Worlds qualifications. So far, these are the teams locked for Worlds 2022:

  • G2 Esports
  • Rogue
  • MAD Lions

These teams will have more series in the coming weeks to decide the seeding of teams, so keep your eyes peeled for that. Also, two teams are fighting for the last remaining spot. These two teams are as follows:

  • Misfits Gaming
  • Fnatic

The series between Misfits and Fnatic on Friday will decide which team takes the last spot for Worlds. The top 2 teams in the LEC will be in Groups Stage, while the remaining two will be in the Play-ins.

LCS Representatives for Worlds 2022

LCS is halfway through the Championship as two teams have confirmed Worlds 2022. The teams are as follows:

  • Cloud9
  • 100 Thieves

The tournament is still in its earlier stages, so there is a fair bit of series left to decide the seeding for Worlds 2022. However, four teams are fighting for 1 spot at Worlds. They are as follows:

  • Evil Geniuses
  • Team Liquid
  • Counter Logic Gaming
  • TSM

The stage is set as there is fierce competition for one spot remaining for Worlds 2022. So it will be a fascinating final stretch for LCS 2022.

Rest of the World

So far, only one team has confirmed Worlds for the rest of the leagues. That team is as follows:

  • Isurus Gaming (LLA)

The representative from Latin America is Isurus Gaming, as they won a tough series against Estral Esports last Saturday (August 27th).

For the rest of the leagues remaining, CBLOL (Brazil) awaits their playoff finals on Saturday as paIN Gaming (PNG) will face LOUD (LLL) for a spot at Worlds 2022. The TCL (Turkey) are in a similar situation as Fenerbahçe Esports (FB) is set to face Istanbul Wildcats for a trip to North America.

Other than those two leagues, the rest have at least two series left to decide their world representatives. PCS (SEA) and VCS (Vietnam) will have two participants, one in the Groups Stage and the other in the Play-ins for both leagues. LCO (Oceania) and LJL (Japan) will send one representative, and we will know more as their playoffs progress.

In Conclusion

So far, this is all we know about the teams participating in Worlds 2022. More teams will join the fold as the playoffs wrap up around the world.
