One of the strongest items in the game, Trinity Force, will receive some changes in patch 13.14.
During every mid-season update, Riot releases some massive changes that shake up the meta. And the recent mid-season update was no exception.
A couple of months ago, they released the mid-season update for season 13 of League of Legends. This patch brought massive changes to the current itemization and reworked many existing items. For example, many items which were mythic rarities before were reworked into legendary items, and many legendary items were buffed and promoted into mythic items. Similarly, one of the items which received changes was Trinity Force.
Before the mid-season update, Trinity Force was one of the worst items in the game. The reason wasn’t that the item itself was overpowered. The main reason was that there were other better items in the game. Some of the prominent items that overshadowed Trinity Force were Divine Sunderer, Immortal Shieldbow, Goredrinker, and Kraken Slayer. But after Immortal Shieldbow and Kraken Slayer were reworked into legendary items, Trinity Force rose up as a viable item. Not only that, many marksmen champions started to utilize this item instead of using their mythic crit options.
With all that said, Riot Games will be slightly adjusting Trinity Force in the upcoming patch, 13.14.

Trinity Force Changes Patch 13.14
- Base AD per stack: 4% >>> 6%
- Number of stacks: 5 >>> 3
In the next patch, while Riot will buff the base AD per stack, they are reducing the number of max stats. This change slightly buffs the melee and nerf to range Trinity Force users.
Now players can get the greatest potential damage earlier. However, in longer team fights, the item won’t be as absurdly strong as it is now. Overall, this change is very minuscule, all things considered. But if Trinity Force keeps becoming one of the strongest items in the game, then we can expect some very serious nerfs to come very soon.
Release Date
The Trinity Force changes will come out on patch 13.14, scheduled to release on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
