A completely new Marksman Rifle called M1916 is joining the Call of Duty’s multiplayer mode following the season 3 Classified Arms update.
Raven Software has been killing it with their content drop scattered across multiple live service titles such as Vanguard and Warzone. With each new update, the devs try to spice things up by releasing new maps, weapons, balancing changes, etc., to help with player retention.
The Call of Duty community is always excited about the prospect of new weapon releases. And it turns out the dev team is hard at work to release new weapons in future updates. According to the official Call of Duty blog, a new M1916 Marksman Rifle will arrive on Warzone and Vanguard’s battle pass with the Season 3 Classified Arms update.
M1916 is a semi-automatic rifle with a single fire mode, high damage output, and fire rate. The weapon was a very popular weapon in Battlefield titles BF1 and BFV. The gun will be available for players in Warzone and Vanguard’s multiplayer. It will be interesting to see how different players develop different weapon builds for this upcoming Marksman Rifle.
M1916 Marksman Rifle
Based on the Selbstlader M1916, M1916 is a German self-loading marksman rifle chambered for the 7.92×57mm Mauser cartridge. This gun can accommodate both long-range and rush playstyles. With the fast fire rate and high damage output, the gun will be favorable for long-range playstyle accompanied by an Assault Rifle or an S.M.G.
How to unlock M1916 Marksman Rifle
The new M1916 Marksman Rifle will be available for free in Vanguard and Warzone Season 3 Battle Pass Tier 15. Because this is a free weapon, there is no need for players to purchase the Season 3 Battle Pass. Players can play Modern Warfare, Cold War, Vanguard, or Warzone to make progress on the Battle Pass, which will unlock this weapon and free rewards.
M1916 Marksman Rifle Release Date
According to Raven Software, M1916 Marksman Rifle will be arriving in both Warzone and Vanguard shortly after the Season 3 Classified Arms update, which will start on April 27, 2022, at 9 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM BST. The official release date was revealed on April 13 alongside a brand-new teaser trailer.
