Call of Duty Vanguard fans can explore the Alps in the upcoming large team mode “Arms Race”.
Call of Duty Vanguard Season 2 Reloaded is supposed to drop soon. This new midseason update will bring the biggest changes to Rebirth Island since its launch.
The hype around the update is higher than usual because the legendary rapper Snoop Dog’s voice pack and skin are coming to Call of Duty Vanguard. He is the first Faze Clan member ever to get a skin in Call of Duty and is the newest member.
But besides these interesting additions to the game, new game modes and vehicles are also coming. But today, we are here to talk about the new upcoming large team mode featuring the Alps map with vehicular combat.
Below you will find all details about the Large Team Mode “Arms Race” including its release date, how it works, and more.
Arms Race Game Mode:
How It Works:
The new Large Team Mode is called “Arms Race” and it’s a 12v12 capture game mode. The map chosen for this game mode is the Alps. Players need to capture and dominate the enemy bases either on foot or in vehicles.
The Patch Notes describes this new game mode as follows,
“New 12v12 Mode. Trek across the Alps to capture or take out bases to dominate the enemy, building your Loadout with Cash earned from eliminations and objective play.”
The new game mode encourages players to streak across the snowy map Alps to capture enemy bases, complete objectives, and make personalized loadouts. As mentioned previously, the map selected for this game mode is the Alps, the largest map in all of Vanguard, making it the ideal playground for new vehicles.
The respawn system works similarly to other capture game modes. Players can spawn in bases that they have captured or on squad members. There is also a gate system that allows safe passage for defenders but shuts down when enemies are nearby.
“Once a base is captured, Operators can choose to respawn at that base or at any other captured points on the map, in addition to spawning in on their fellow squad member. Bases automatically set up gates for the defending team within, allowing safe passage for allies and shutting itself when enemies are nearby.
There are a total of 7 bases to capture in this game mode. But the two bases on either side are the headquarters of the two teams, making it a fight to capture five bases.
“By default, two out of the Alps’ seven potential bases will already be taken out of commission, making it a five-base fight for supremacy.”
There are also several buy stations throughout the bases. Players can earn money by capturing objectives or picking it up from enemy players to buy the following-
- weapons
- equipment
- Killstreaks
- Field Upgrades
- Custom Loadouts
New Vehicles:
This map also supports many new vehicles that will come to the game with the new update. These can be bought using cash. The vehicles that will be available are-
- Motorcycle
- CD12 Transport
- Tank
Players can call the Motorcycle for free anytime, anywhere. This makes it a great way to travel across the Alps map. Next, we have the CD12 Transport. Costing around a few hundred in-game Cash, the CD12 Transport is a four-seater Squad Vehicle perfect for moving a full squad.
Lastly, we have the Tank. This is the most expensive and deadly vehicle available in this game mode. The Tank only has one seat meaning both the main cannon and turret are operated by a single person.
Release Date:
The Arms Race 12v12 game mode is supposed to come out with the release of Call of Duty Vanguard Season 2 Reloaded at 9 AM PT on March 22.
