Infinity Ward has revealed the logo for its most awaited title this year. Here’s everything we know about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022).

The official Twitter account of Call of Duty and Infinity Ward has revealed the logo for the most anticipated game of the year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. The logo is heavily influenced by the themes of the old Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and 3 games.

The logo reveal has garnered a positive reaction from the community. Call of Duty fans are losing their minds with streamers like Timthetatman, CouRage, Ali-A, OpTic Scump, and OpTic Zlaner hyping up the logo. The hype for the game is based on the success of its predecessor Modern Warfare (2019), which became Activision’s best-selling Call of Duty title after MW2 (2009). Moreover, the disappointing titles Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard are additional factors adding to the game’s hype.

Modern Warfare II Teaser

Modern Warfare II’s gameplay was revealed to people in Las Vegas attending the NFL draft. Many people posted their stories stating how excited and pleased they were after seeing the new Call of Duty title.

Modern Warfare (2019) has been a massive success for Activision and Infinity Ward. The game’s engine has been the base for Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard. Modern Warfare (2019) became widely known for its excellent campaign and a new multiplayer experience with brand new mechanics.

In their recent quarterly report, Activision has stated that the upcoming Modern Warfare II (2022) will be a direct successor of Modern Warfare (2019). This confirms that Captain Price and his Task Force 141 will return with a new mission. Moreover, Warzone 2.0 is also set to release in 2023, with a brand new engine developed by Infinity Ward.

The main concern for Activision would be Warzone 2.0, which is supposedly coming out with the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Warzone has been one of the most successful titles for Activision. With Microsoft acquiring Activision-Blizzard, Warzone 2.0 will play a significant role in the future live service market.
