Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, one of the greatest LCS players of all time is officially retiring as a pro player.
The official announcement came out today all of a sudden that TSM superstar Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg is retiring from the competitive League of Legends as a player. However, he will be taking over as TSM’s new Head Coach from 2021.
“I think it been a great way for me to grow and learn a lot of things have a lot of hardships, have a lot of success and after playing professional League of Legends for eight years and playing for TSM for I think close to six, I’m here to talk about the fact that I’m retiring as a professional player and stepping into the head coach role for TSM,” Bjergsen said on his announcement.
Bjergsen has been playing competitive League of Legends since 2012 and later joined Team SoloMid in 2013 as their mid lane carry. And after joining TSM he never had to look back and quickly became of the best mid laners in LCS history.
During his time on TSM, the 24-year-old has received four seasonal MVP awards and helped TSM to secure six LCS championships. Even though he and his team TSM failed to achieve any success on the international stage, Bjergsen has left a standard for the upcoming new mid laners in the LCS.
The journey for Bjergsen is not over yet as he will be the new Head Coach of TSM for 2021 and explore his new career.
