Find out the best and fastest ways to farm Nacroberries in Ark Survival Evolved in this guide.

The Narcoberry is one of the many forms of Berries found in ARK: Survival Evolved. It can be found by harvesting flora around the mysterious island called ARK. The nacroberries have several uses. Such as, they can be used as a sedative or tranquilizer, as feeding nacroberries to unconscious players or dinosaurs can increase their Torpor, which is the measure of weariness for a human or a creature. If a human’s Torpidity reaches 50, they will fall unconscious. Feeding nacroberries to unconscious dinos can be especially useful for taming them, as it can keep the dinosaurs unconscious for longer periods of time.

When consumed, Narcoberries increase the Torpor by 7.5 points over 3 seconds. When eaten by a survivor, the Narcoberry restores 4.0 points of Food but also increases Torpor by 7.5. Moreover, narcoberries can also be used together with Spoiled Meat in the Mortar and Pestle or Chemistry Bench to create Narcotic, which is a more effective form of sedative or tranquilizer used for taming than Narcoberries due to the fact that it does not spoil. Lastly, narcoberries are also used to craft several Dyes used in customization.

Collecting narcoberries on mounts is faster than growing them on crop plots. That’s why in this guide, we will highlight the best mounts you can tame to get Nacroberries in Ark Survival Evolved. Note that the berries can be harvested by attacking harvestable bushes using left mouse click on PC, Y button on Xbox and Triangle button on the PlayStation.

Best Mounts To Get Narcoberries

Brontosaurus

Brontosaurus in Ark: Survival Evolved

While time-consuming to tame, the Brontosaurus is the best berry-gatherer in Ark Survival Evolved and has the highest berry-gathering ability of all the dinosaurs you can tame. All you need to do is get to a high enough level to get a saddle for the brontosaurus. Once you have tamed one, go to a large vegetation area with lots of bushes, and you can rain berries with a single swipe of its tail.

With 2 to 3 swipes of your Bronto’s tail in an area with lots of berry resources, you can expect to get over 500 narcoberries. However, keep in mind that the berries add to your carrying capacity. With that being said, the saddle allows you to carry more resources, so be sure to scoop all the berries that fall onto your lap.

Stegosaurus

Stegosaurus in Ark: Survival Evolved

The Stegosaurus is a versatile mount with a very high berry-gathering ability and also provides great protection and damage. The stegosaurus is versatile in the sense that it can change its plating orientation according to the player’s preference, from the heavy plate to the hardened plate, and the sharpened plate. Although for harvesting berries, the stegosaurus should be equipped with the sharepened plate.

Not only that, but the stegosaurus also has the amazing ability to reduce the weight of carrying berries by 75% while in its inventory. This will allow players to carry even more narcoberries without much hassle. The stegosaurus surely makes up for its slow movement through its increased berry-carrying capability. All you need to do is stand near harvestable bushes and start attacking.

Triceratops

Triceratops in Ark: Survival Evolved

Although the Stegosaurus can land you more berries, the Triceratops have faster movements. The Triceratops, also referred to as “Trikes”, are one of the most preferred mounts used for berry-gathering by players. As mentioned earlier, it gathers less than the Stegosaurus but it has a knockback effect in combat that keeps the attacker from hitting you, and you unlock the saddle for the Trike 10 levels earlier than the Stegisausu. Meaning it is much easier to tame one of these guys.

Moreover, the Triceratop’s head shield can even take reduced damage from arrows or bullets and allows players to gather berries without taking much damage, even when attacked. For the Trikes too, all you need to do is find an area with lots of harvestable bushes and attack. Make sure to saddle up to be able to carry lots of narcoberries.

Therizinosaurus

Therizinosaurus in Ark: Survival Evolved

Another great dino that can be used for harvesting Narcoberries. Although it is a bit more difficult to tame than Trikes, Therizinosaurus is still an excellent harvester. It uses its claw to dig up harvests or attack. All you need to do is saddle up and use a Therizinosaur that’s trained in Delicate Harvesting, find a place with lots of harvestable bushes and attack, and then throw out all the non-narcoberries while gathering.

Equus

Equus in Ark: Survival Evolved

Taming an Equus allows you to harvest berries very early on in the game, unlike the Brontosaurus, which can be obtained much later in the game. Not only does it have a decent berry farming ratio, but it also has fast movements. You can sprint at quite a decent pace and also craft Narcotics on the go, as the Equus saddle is a mobile Mortar and Pestle. All you need to do is find a place with lots of harvestable bushes and start attacking.
