Since Riot has been improving the Mythic skins in League of Legends, now is the best time to look at the best of them.
There are myriads of skins in League of Legends. Some are rarer than others. Therefore, most of these skins are also divided into categories based on their rarity and their features. Among these categories, Mythic is the rarest one.
As stated before, Mythic skins are some of the rarest skins in League of Legends. But initially, there weren’t any great skins to get. Most of the Mythic skins consisted of Prestige skins and the occasional Hextech skin line skins. But that all changed in 2022 when Riot released the Ashen Knight mythic skin line. Afterward, the quality and the expectation increased drastically.
Since then, Riot has also released Mythic variants of some legendary skins like Dark Cosmic Jhin and True Damage Ekko.
Now that we have received some of the best Mythic skins in the game, now is the good time to rank the best out of them.

Top 10 Best Mythic Skins In League of Legends
10. Dark Star Cho’Gath
- Release Date: July 13, 2018
- Price: 125 ME
- Chroma: No
Conceptually, Dark Star Cho’Gath is one of the best skins in the game. However, this skin is brought down mainly because of his old, and clunky model. But this skin still holds up if you manage to eat some enemies with your ultimate. If Cho’Gath ever receives a VGU, this skin will become amazing.
9. Hextech Kassadin
- Release Date: October 15, 2020
- Price: 125 ME
- Chroma: No
The entire Hextech line is one of the worst skin lines in League of Legends, considering the price, rarity, and quality. Even among these, there are some skins that are not horrible. One of them is Hextech Kassadin.
While not the best among the Kassadin skins, it is still nice to use skin here and there.
8. Hextech Poppy
- Release Date: July 23, 2018
- Price: 125 ME
- Chroma: No
Poppy’s skins are usually very bad, as most of them were made before her rework. And just as pre-rework Poppy’s visuals, most of these skins are ugly as well. Additionally, her newer skins are more cutesy style from smaller skin lines like Cafe Cuties.
Hextech Poppy here stays consistent and looks decent. Not only that, her hammer got a huge glowup. Not only is it one of the best Poppy skins in the game, it is also one of the best Hextech skins in the game.
7. Hextech Annie
- Release Date: March 15, 2016
- Price: 125 ME
- Chroma: No
While Hextech Poppy is not the best Hextech skin in the game, that honor goes to Hextech Annie. The VFX and the overall visuals are still very solid. And the new Tibbers model is just amazing. But still, it’s very lacking when compared to the skins coming afterward.
6. Crystalis Motus Leona
- Release Date: June 14, 2023
- Price: 125 ME
- Chroma: 1 (Reclaimed)
Crystalis Motus Leona is the first skin released in the Crystalis Motus universe. However, even though this skin itself is great, I have some gripes with this.
Out of all the champions who could have fit well in this skin line, Leona is by far the weakest choice. The main reason is that she already has some of the best skins in the game. For example, High Noon Leona, Solar and Lunar Eclipse Leona, etc.
With that said, this skin is still great. But there are better Leona skins that you can buy anytime.
5. Crystalis Motus Ashe
- Release Date: December 6, 2023
- Price: 100 ME (Currently available in the Mythic Essence Shop)
- Chroma: 1 (Reclaimed)
Crystalis Motus Ashe also falls under the same category as the Leona skin. Similarly, Ashe already has some of the best skins in the game already. Visually, this skin is still better than many of her epic skins. But the same case with Leona; if you do play Ashe regularly, then you should have some of her best skins already.
Even so, this skin is still good-looking if you want to flex out in your lane.
4. Crystalis Motus Taliyah
- Release Date: September 13, 2023
- Price: 125 ME
- Chroma: 1 (Reclaimed)
Crystalis Motus Taliyah is the best skin not only among the Crystalis Motus skin line but also within all of the Taliyah skins as well. The main reason for that is that the Crystalis Motus skin line fits Taliyah very well.
With Taliyah’s other skins, it feels like she is forced into it. But here, she is a natural. And even with her chroma, she looks amazing. If you do main Taliyah, then this needs to be your pick.
3. Ashen Guardian Shen
- Release Date: March 23, 2023
- Price: 125 ME
- Chroma: 1 (Emberwoken)
Now, we have finally reached the best skin line among the Mythic skins, Ashen Knight. Likewise, Ashen Guardian Shen is one of the best skins in the game.
Similarly, Ashen Guardian Shen offers some of the best VFX and SFX. It is currently the best Shen skin in the game.
2. Ashen Graveknight Mordekaiser
- Release Date: December 8, 2022
- Price: 125 ME
- Chroma: 1 (Emberwoken)
Is it a stretch to say that Ashe Graveknight Mordekaiser is the best Mordekaiser skin? Probably not. Even though Mordekaiser already has a Legendary skin, the Ashen Knight universe fits him so well.
Firstly, the SFX is amazing regardless of which abilities you are using. His new E visuals feel more powerful. And finally, whenever he uses his ult, his wing grows. This skin turns him into a true raid boss.
1. Ashen Knight Pyke
- Release Date: March 30, 2022
- Price: 125 ME
- Chroma: 1 (Emberwoken)
Ashen Knight Pyke is not only the best Pyke skin in the game or the best Ashen Knight skin, but it is also one of the best skins in League of Legends. Firstly, the overall VFX is just amazing. The sound effect is well done. Moreover, when you hit your ultimate, the sound hits differently. When you get a Pentakill, it feels like you are a Dark Souls boss.
Regardless of whether you play Pyke or not, this is a must-have skin.
