In an official post released just now, the organization announced its latest addition of Ubisoft’s FPS shooter Rainbow Six Siege with the full acquisition of the Disrupt Gaming organization.
Astralis will take over Disrupt Gaming’s assets, key staff, and facilities around the Rainbow Six team, and will compete under the Astralis brand in the North American Rainbow Six League from Stage 3 and onwards.
The newly established Astralis US Inc. in Las Vegas will be running all Astralis activities in North America. And Founder/ CEO of Disrupt Gaming Mark “cashflo” Flood is now becoming its Director of US Operations.
“Expanding our team activities and organization into North America and entering Ubisoft’s Rainbow Six NA League is big news for us. We intend to bring something new and exciting to all the fans of Rainbow Six while also giving the vast number of existing Astralis fans all over the world a new team in a game and a league that provides entertainment and competition on a very high level.” – Astralis founder Jakob Lund Kristensen said in the official press release.
Mark Flood also added that the Astralis fans can expect “a lot of great action and content across the digital platforms,” with new player-centric content, educational video, and a lot more.
The Danish organization of Astralis is well-renowned for its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) team, as they became the first CSGO team to achieve four major wins and the only team to win three Majors consecutively.
