If you are a fan of Apex Legends Arenas, now might be a good time to spend time in this game mode, as it may get removed in Season 16.
Arenas was introduced as a permanent game mode in the Legacy update in Season 9 of Apex Legends. Followed by its popularity, Ranked Arenas was also added to the game in Season 10. And it was a massive win for Respawn as many players showed their interest in this game mode.
The game mode was nothing like the original Battle Royale. Instead of 20 teams battling out over a long duration, here, 6 players consisting of 2 teams fight against each other in a closed arena. Arenas has been a good practicing drill as it gave players constant battles which is impossible in classic BR.
However, due to cheaters and exploiters, Arenas became a dead-game mode today. Nobody except for some specific players play Arenas anymore. On top of that, Respawn also stopped supporting Arenas, as there haven’t been many changes to it since its release.

Goodbye to Arenas?
When Arenas was at its initial stage, almost everyone appreciated it because of its potential. However, it looks like the hype has dried out, and Arenas is just another game mode collecting dust in the corner. So, it makes no sense for it to be in the permanent playlist anyways.
According to Thordan Smash and Garret, two popular content creators/ leakers, Arenas might leave the permanent playlist in Season 16. The drop in Ranked Arena players and the developers’ lack of interest in the game mode seems to be why Arenas is facing such a fate, according to Thordan Smash.
However, the good news is that if Arenas leave the permanent game mode, other popular LTM’s such as Control, Gun Run, or the rumored TDM may take its place. However, it is just speculation with no solid confirmation from Respawn. So, take it with a grain of salt.
