StayNaughty, Zaine, and Xynew set a new Apex Legends record for most eliminations in the NA Predator Ranked lobby with 41 total kills.
Similar to the previous Season, Apex Legends Season 17 saw a huge update with many major game changes. The changes introduced many things, including the Range overhaul, a new Legend Ballistic, and the World’s Edge update.
Respawn also made considerable changes to the previously existing ranked system to improve the overall player experience in every rank distribution. The new rank update aimed to improve the matchmaking system and enhance the authentic Battle Royale experience by focusing on team play.
Keeping the goals in mind, Respawn introduced a hidden MMR, bonus, and Ladder Points system instead of an RP system. The new scoring approach now emphasizes more on Placement and winning rather than taking fights more often and still being able to climb the rank ladder, which was the main drawback of the previous ranked systems.
However, the new ranked system has also created other concerning issues. Players can now easily climb up the rank ladder without taking any fights and just by hiding. Even the pro player, NRG SweetDreams, criticized the new ranked system by reaching Predator without getting any kills, showing the apparent flaws of the new ranked system.
On the other hand, other pro players are taking advantage of the new ranked system by stomping the lobbies and killing everyone in front of them. As fewer players die early, it gives high-skilled players enough opportunity to get more kills. The new record by Naughty, Zaine, and Xynew is the perfect example of that.

Predator Ranked Lobby 41 Kills World Record
StayNaughty, Zaine, and Xynew are some of the best controller players in Apex Legends right now. They are also professional Apex Legends players currently playing under some of the best Apex teams in NA.
On May 17, 2023, the three pro players queued together and dropped 41 total kills, making it a first-ever 40+ kills on Predator rank NA server. The magnificent performance was also live-streamed from their Twitch channels.
At the time of their streaming, all three players were sitting at #1, 4, and 407 Predator ranks. Xynew even managed to snatch 22 eliminations and almost a 4k damage achievement on his own, making it the highest kill recorded by a single individual in Predator ranked lobby in Season 17.
Undoubtedly, pro players are supposed to be the best of the bests. However, getting 41 eliminations by a single team in a ranked Predator lobby is a concerning factor for healthy competition. Not only that, just a few days back, KSWINNIE, Pina, and Slab got 45 kills on the EU server, making it the highest-kill-ranked game ever recorded.
The new ranked system has been criticized by pros and casual players alike. Nonetheless, Respawn is trying its best to improve the ranked system, and it may make a few more tweaks to give it a complete shape in the future.
