Apex Legends Season 30, Marked, has dramatically changed how players build and manage their loadouts. Direct nerfs to several dominant close-range weapons, the new energy ammunition system, and Corrupted Attachments have created a more varied weapon meta. Based on the early results, the Flatline currently looks like the safest overall floor-loot weapon in Season 30.
Energy weapons no longer require ammunition from the ground. Weapons such as the Havoc, Nemesis, Volt, Devotion, RE-45, and Triple Take now carry regenerating ammunition stockpiles. This frees inventory space but introduces a major weakness during extended fights. Energy ammunition regenerates one magazine over 18 seconds, while the Volt and RE-45 only receive two magazines of reserve capacity.
Respawn also nerfed the Alternator, R-99, and RE-45 after they significantly outperformed other close-range weapons. The Alternator lost damage and magazine capacity, the R-99 dropped from 13 to 12 damage, and the RE-45 dropped from 17 to 16 damage. Meanwhile, the Hemlok received a smaller damage nerf, while the heavily weakened G7 Scout returned to floor loot and the upgraded 30-30 Repeater entered Care Packages.

This is an early Season 30 ranking focused primarily on Battle Royale and Ranked. The patch is still new, so positions may change as players become more familiar with energy ammunition management and Corrupted Attachments.
S+ Tier Weapons
The Kraber and L-STAR remain devastating Care Package weapons with enough raw power to decide fights immediately. The new Care Package 30-30 Repeater joins them after receiving 51 body damage, faster charging, improved reload speed, and Shatter Caps that can deal up to 56 damage when hip-fired.
S Tier Weapons
The Flatline is arguably the best overall floor weapon because it combines excellent damage, strong hip fire, and reliable performance without ammunition restrictions. The Prowler and C.A.R. also move up because their biggest close-range competitors were directly nerfed.
The Peacekeeper and Wingman remain deadly in skilled hands, while the Triple Take benefits more than most energy weapons from regenerating ammunition. Its slower firing style gives its stockpile more opportunities to recover between engagements.
A Tier Weapons
The Hemlok remains a powerful mid-range option despite losing one point of damage. The Nemesis, Havoc, and Volt can dominate short engagements, but their limited stockpiles make them less dependable during prolonged battles or immediate third parties.
The R-301 remains one of the easiest weapons to control, while the Mastiff and Sentinel offer strong burst damage with slightly less consistency than the S-tier choices.
B Tier Weapons
The Alternator, R-99, and RE-45 are still usable, but their Season 30 nerfs make one-clipping enemies less forgiving. The Devotion can become extremely powerful with its Turbocharger, although unlocking it now requires 500 points.
The G7 Scout has fallen considerably after losing Double Tap, sniper optics, damage, fire rate, and magazine capacity. The remaining weapons in this tier can perform well in specific situations but are generally outclassed by more reliable alternatives.
C Tier Weapons
The Rampage remains too dependent on Thermite Grenades and struggles against faster weapons in close fights. The Charge Rifle can still produce long-range damage, but its awkward handling and limited versatility make it one of the easiest weapons to replace.
