Data found in the game files suggests Respawn could be working on a live event for Apex Legends similar to that of Fortnite.
Note: You are reading an old article from 2021. So, the information may not be up-to-date.
Respawn’s first attempt at the battle royale market was met with both critical and commercial success, as their spin-off game has garnered a massively dedicated fanbase of its own. It even surpassed Titanfall in terms of pure revenue, as it is currently a billion-dollar IP for EA.
Polished first-person shooter mechanics, paired with seasonal updates, made Apex Legends stand out from the crowd. While these seasonal updates usually feature new characters, weapons, maps, game modes, and more to keep the player base engaged, Apex definitely lacks the over-the-top big live events that made Fortnite become mainstream.
Fortnite, which is another battle royale game developed by Epic Games, has been killing it with its out-of-this-world live events that featured many big-name celebrities like Travis Scott. Similar live interactive events could make their way to Apex Legends as soon as season 12.

Live Event on the Storm Point Map
According to a pretty reliable Apex Legends data miner, there will be a great war between Salvo and Syndicate. The leak suggests this event will take place on Storm Point on January 21, 2022. Also, this event is called “Dogfight” in the game files.
Data miners even revealed some images of massive ships that might be present at those events. Based on the leaks, it seems like this massive space battle will feature ships from the Titanfall universe.
Syndicate will apparently use the original dropship that we have already seen a glimpse of in the game. At the same time, Salvo will use a new type of ship.
Furthermore, the exact location of the event has also been revealed. Data miners are claiming that this exact spot on the new Storm Point map will feature a ship crash sequence. Having said all that, this is still a leak from data miners, so take them with a grain of salt, as Respawn could still make massive changes to these events before they arrive in the actual game.

However, the mere possibility of live events being added to Apex Legends has made many fans really excited, to say the least.
