Respawn Entertainment graciously presented the Apex Legends player base with an end-of-the-year sale featuring some new and returning skin collections.
It has become somewhat of a tradition at Respawn to shower the built-in digital shop in Apex Legends with great deals especially around the holidays to incentivize players to splurge on some good-looking cosmetic items.
As Apex Legends is a free-to-play title, paid cosmetic items such as skins are a major component in this battle royale. As such, the dedicated team at Respawn work to create unique skins for the players to keep the player base engaged.

Respawn usually does an amusing job at creating some truly amusing-looking character and weapon skins. Unfortunately, they might have missed their mark with Horizon’s launch skin bundle that arrived alongside the End of the Year sale.
Is it really that bad?
The Neon Stardust Horizon skin is getting a lot of traction within the Apex community due to its bold character design choice. Consequently, many players in the Apex player base are showcasing their dissatisfaction with this skin bundle in their preferred social media platforms.
Cosmetic items in any video game are really subjective as what is amusing to you won’t necessarily be the same for others. Respawn is usually really good at making new skins out of new ideas or existing sci-fi themes. But turns out, the Mohawk Horizon really rubbed some players in the wrong way.
