Respawn Entertainment graciously presented the Apex Legends player base with an end-of-the-year sale featuring some new and returning skin collections.

It has become somewhat of a tradition at Respawn to shower the built-in digital shop in Apex Legends with great deals, especially around the holidays, to incentivize players to splurge on some good-looking cosmetic items.

As Apex Legends is a free-to-play title, paid cosmetic items such as skins constitute a significant component in this battle royale. As such, the dedicated team at Respawn works to create unique skins for the players to keep the player base engaged.

Respawn usually does an amusing job of creating some truly amusing-looking characters and weapon skins. Unfortunately, they might have missed their mark with Horizon’s launch skin bundle that arrived alongside the year-end sale.

The Neon Stardust Horizon skin is getting a lot of traction within the Apex community due to its bold character design choice. Consequently, many players in the Apex player base are showcasing their dissatisfaction with this skin bundle on their preferred social media platforms.

Cosmetic items in any video game are really subjective, as what is amusing to you won’t necessarily be the same for others. Respawn is usually really good at making new skins out of new ideas or existing sci-fi themes. But it turns out that the Mohawk Horizon really rubbed some players in the wrong way.
