Apex Legends Mobile introduces yet another interesting piece of content that was mainly designed for the PC version of the game.

Although the PC and mobile versions of Apex Legends share certain similarities, they also have notable differences. Apex Legends Mobile, for example, not only included the greatest aspects of the main game but also added some of the unique features not seen in the PC version.
The mobile version has already blown us away by showing an improved Firing Range, new game modes, perks, and more. And it seems like it will not stop yet, as it keeps adding more new and improved content than its PC and console counterparts.

Apex Legends Mobile Introduces Frost Grenade
A prominent data miner in the Apex Legends community named Shrugtal found a prototype of a new grenade called “Cryo Grenade” in the game files back in August 2021. The grenade was still in an earlier development stage, but it had a completed model that looked very similar to an Incendiary Grenade.
Players were very excited as Respawn had never released a unique throwable item since its initial introduction of the three basic ones: Frag Grenade, Arc Star, and Thermite Grenade. Unfortunately, the cryo grenade never made it into the game, even after one year of its leak.
However, a recent leak revealed that a new grenade would be added to Apex Legends Mobile with the name “Frost Grenade” in Season 2. It does not seem coincidental that a similar grenade that was supposed to come out in the PC and console versions is being added to the mobile port.
Although there has not been any demonstration of how the grenade will actually work, it is evident that the “Frost Grenade” is inspired by the cryo grenade that never made it into the PC and console port. However, there is still a chance that Respawn might add it to Apex Legends PC sooner or later.
