How to Ping in Apex Legends
Respawn has made the ping system very convenient for everyone to use. You don’t have to be an expert or know everything to ping stuff in Apex Legends. All you need to do is aim at ammo, weapons, enemies, or location and press the ping button.
Apex Legends automatically detects what you are pinging at. After pressing the ping button, a small icon will pop up with specific messages and sounds to you and your teammates. Additionally, if you keep holding the ping button, a ping wheel will appear containing several messages and commands.
With this ping wheel, you can ping different messages and commands. So, while pressing the ping button, move your mouse cursor to the specific ping command to redirect it to your teammates.
How to Bind Ping Key
Here’s how to ping in Apex Legends on different platforms (Default button):
- PC: Press the scroll or the mouse wheel button to open your ping menu.
- PS4: Hit the R1 button to ping ammo and weapons.
- Xbox One: Hit the RB button to open your ping menu.
You can also change the default ping button to something else. To do that:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Mouse/ Keyboard tab.
