Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the newest entry in Ubisoft’s long-running action-adventure series. After the series’ new direction with its recent entries received polarizing reviews, Ubisoft looks to bring the series back to its roots with Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

The game promises a return to the type of gameplay that players fell in love with in the earlier entries of the series. This includes more stealth-based gameplay, parkour, and a relatively more linear story than the open world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Furthermore, it also brings a deep level of customization to the player character, Basim. Combining the deep customization of the recent entries, such as Origins, with smaller features, such as being able to dye your clothing, from Assassin’s Creed 2. The customization also extends to your weapons.

While the recent entries of the series had a more RPG-style focus, Mirage uses the classic approach of the series. This means that there are fewer weapons in the game. However, each weapon is unique and caters to different playstyles.

Weapons are split into two categories, swords, and daggers, each of which is utilized during combat – the sword being your main damage dealer. Weapons can be found in treasure chests spread throughout the map and acquired by finishing missions.

Moreover, they can also be bought from the Animus Store. Furthermore, each weapon can be upgraded twice to increase its damage output. Weapons also have bonus perks to make you more effective during combat.

Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar

• Perk: Blood Price – Maximum health is lowered by 50%, but damage is increased by 50%
• Stats:
  • DMG: 46
  • DEF DMG: 78
• How to Get: To unlock this legendary sword, you’ll need to get three Mysterious Shards, which you can pickpocket from NPCs. Afterward, go to the Northern Oasis, northeast of Baghdad. Enter the Secret Entrance by swimming, follow the linear path once you surface, and offer the three shards at one of the pedestals to get Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar.

Sand Sword

• Perk: Healing Sand – Killing an enemy while time has slowed down regenerates 20% Health
• Stats:

• How to Get: Deluxe Edition DLC

Initiate of Alamut Sword

• Perk: Sharpened Blade – After a successful Parry, the next attack deals more damage.

• Perk: On the Edge – When Basim’s Health is lower than 50%, Light Attacks deal more damage

Hidden One Sword

• Perk: Venomous – Every fifth hit Poisons the enemy

Rostam Sword

• Perk: Chain Reaction – Every consecutive Attack deals +5% damage, up to a maximum of 50%
