Even though 2XKO will take a long time to be released, some of the launch skins have already been leaked.
Almost 5 years ago, Riot Games announced in their 10-anniversary video that they are working on multiple projects in the studio. Some notable ones include Arcane, Valorant (Project-A), and for today’s topic, 2XKO (Project-L).
2XKO is a 2D tag-team fighting game similar to games like Marvel vs Capcom, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Power Rangers Battle for the Grid, etc. With these kinds of games, you can choose multiple characters to fight in the same team. In 2XKO specifically, you can choose 2 different champions to play with.
The best part about 2XKO is that it is going to be free to play. Thus this game will be easily accessible across the masses. Traditionally, free-to-play games across the world, make money by selling cosmetics, battle passes, and other kinds of goodies in the game. And 2XKO will not be an exception.
Not too long ago, the alpha test for 2XKO took place. In this test players got to test out the game early. Even though there wasn’t that much content, but for an alpha test, it was extremely fun and noteworthy.
During this alpha test, many players started data mining the game’s files. From there they found some exciting things. One of those discoveries was upcoming skins.

All Leaked & Upcoming Skins
There were already 2 skins that were available in the game during the alpha test. Including them, 5 total skins are coming out in the game. They are:
- Bladesong Yasuo
- Dynasty Ahri
- Crime Boss Braum (Leaked)
- Firelight Ekko (Leaked)
- Project: Yasuo (Leaked)
All of these skins should have their own unique chromas or at least color variations. Additionally, these skins were available in the alpha test of the game. Therefore, we can expect more skins to be coming out during the proper launch version of 2XKO.
Bladesong Yasuo
Bladesong Yasuo is an exclusive Yasuo skin in 2XKO. It turns Yasuo into an elf warrior. In the alpha, players could try it out if they finished their battle pass. However, they cannot keep the game after the launch as all of the data before the launch will be wiped.
Overall Bladesong Yasuo is a decent skin as some of the first skins in 2XKO, but it is not the only Yasuo skin on the list.
Dynasty Ahri
In 2XKO
League of Legends Splash Art
Similar to Bladesong Yasuo, Dynasty Ahri is the other alpha skin that was available in 2XKO. Again similar to that skin, players could try out the skin for free by completing the battle pass. But they won’t be able to keep the skin for the subsequent test or even the launch.
Compared to Bladesong Yasuo, Dynasty Ahri offers a unique VFX with her normal attacks. And as an early skin, it is a great starting point.
Crime City Braum
In 2XKO
League of Legends Splash Art
Crime City Braum is one of the early leaked 2XKO skins. It might be the first battle pass character skin in 2XKO. Judging from the leaked in-game model, he already looks very decent. While we don’t see it in the game, his shield should be a vault door, which would look cool.
Firelight Ekko
League of Legends Splash Art
Firelight Ekko is an Ekko skin based on his appearance in the Netflix show Arcane. Before the skin’s launch in League of Legends, players were very excited about this skin because of its mask. They thought they could toggle the mask, which is similar to Kai’Sa’s mask or Aatrox’s sword. However, this feature was not added in the game and the only time we can see the mask is during the home guard effect and recall animation.
In the 2XKO version, we can see that his mask is always on, which looks great. But hopefully, there would be a chroma or variant that would be the skin without the mask.
PROJECT: Yasuo
2XKO version
League of Legends Splash Art
PROJECT: Yasuo is one of the most popular skins in League of Legends as it kick-started the PROJECT universe. While subtle, the 2XKO version of this skin already looks different compared to its League of Legends counterpart. Though is it better than the original, it is hard to tell. The only way to know for sure is when we can officially try it out after the game releases.
