How Many Endings are in AC6?
There are a total of three endings in Armored Core 6.
- The Fires of Raven
- Liberator of Rubicon
- Alea lacta Est
First of all, SPOILERS AHEAD. And second of all, each of these endings is based on certain choices as a prerequisite. We will be going through all of these to give you a short overview.
How to Get Every Ending in AC6
Before we begin, here’s a friendly warning. The only ending you’re destined to get in your first playthrough is the “Bad” ending.
Having said that, reaching a better conclusion to Armored Core 6’s story will require multiple playthroughs. So be prepared to put in triple the work if you want to experience the game’s true ending.
The Fires of Raven – The Bad Ending
Focusing on either Walter or Carla will lead to the Fires of Raven campaign. That means accepting all their decisions throughout the campaign, which especially include:
- Chapter 3 – Mission 18: Tunnel Sabotage
- Chapter 3 – Mission 21: Eliminate the Enforcement Squads
- Chapter 4 – Mission 30: Intercept the Red Guns
Chapter 5 introduces two more decisions to take, each of which can have far-reaching effects on the plot. Choose between:
- Intercept the Corporate Forces
- Eliminate “Cinder” Carla
Avoid killing Carla by selecting “Intercept the Corporate Forces.” As a result, The Xylem’s destination is now the Coral Convergence, where it will eventually crash.
The first objective will be to glide through a field of energy as they destroy a squadron of Arquebus Interceptor spacecraft.
When the satellites in orbit stop them from reaching the Convergence, Ayre won’t have any other option but to stand against you. Once Ayre is defeated, the Xylem will crash into the Convergence, causing a massive explosion that will bring an end to the entire Rubicon.
Liberator of Rubicon – The Good Ending (NG+)
This ending is only available in NG+. Ayre’s repeated request to aid her “brothers and sisters” will eventually make you accept Coral as a member of the society. There will be a couple of decisions to take in both chapters 3 and 4. These missions are as follows:
- Chapter 3 – Mission 18: Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech
- Chapter 3 – Mission 21: Destroy the Special Forces Craft
- Chapter 4 – Mission 30: Ambush the Vespers
Next, there will be two additional decisions to make in favor of Ayre. These are:
- Intercept the Corporate Forces
- Eliminate “Cinder” Carla
Choose “Eliminate “Cinder” Carla” to take a stand against Carla’s plot to deliberately disrupt the Coral Convergence. By eliminating Carla, you’ll unlock the last two levels of the mission. These levels involve stopping Carla and her crew by destroying the Xylem’s engines and taking down the final boss, an AC that Handler Walter has under his control.
Ayre will thank you for defeating Walter, and the Xylem will eventually collapse into the Rubicon.
Alea lacta Est – The True Ending (NG++)
In New Game++, the conflict over Coral and Rubicon continues with the addition of a new faction. The game introduces more new missions from time to time. Without further ado, go through these missions first:
- Chapter 3 – Mission 18: Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech
- Chapter 3 – Mission 21: Eliminate the Enforcement Squads
You will start getting requests from Allmind at the end of Chapter 3. From now on, choose the missions that are Allmind-centric:
- Chapter 4 – Mission 26: Coral Export Denial
- Chapter 4 – Mission 33: Eliminate V.III
- Chapter 4: Reach the Coral Convergence
The final mission, “MIA,” takes place in Chapter 5, where you don’t end up disabled and forced to flee in the janky mech. To get the “Coral Release” mission, you will have to destroy the parasite modules stored in the Xylem’s hold.
After a while, there will be a two-part boss encounter against Allmind and his folks, which will trigger the Coral Release.
Fear not, as Ayre will join you in a moment to assist in this fight. After the fight is over, a black hole will appear that will pull in the Coral along with everyone else. After a while, all the mechs will wake up on a new planet, and Ayre will explain what happened.
