How to use cheats in Sonic Origins
To use cheat codes, you have to use the input level select code while on the game’s title screen. Then head into the game’s sound test section, and activate cheats by putting in the required number. Now all you need to do is select a stage through the level select and start playing. The cheat codes should be activated. A sound plays upon activation of any cheats.
Each of the games has a different combination of codes, even if they do the same thing. On the other hand, only Sonic CD has no cheat codes yet.

Debug Mode
While most of the cheats are pretty self-explanatory, Debug Mode may raise some confusion about what it does. The HUD becomes more detailed when activated, showing the player’s coordinates instead of the score counter.
Moreover, you can also tinker with the object placement mode, where you can move around the maps and place objects. These include enemies, scenery, obstacles, and platforms. Consider it a watered-down map editor.
The best part of the Debug Mode is the ability to obtain the S power-up to turn into Super Sonic and get fifty rings instantly.
