Payday is in early access and will soon be available for players on different platforms. However, many players are curious if it’s available on the Nintendo Switch.
Payday 3 is a heist shooter developed by Starbreeze Studios and Overkill Software. The game is a direct sequel to Payday 2. The third entrant in the Payday franchise, the game brings in the OG heisters and a new band of misfits for another heist experience.
Payday 2 was released almost ten years ago, in 2013. The game was available for PC, PlayStation 3 and 4, Xbox 360 and One series, and Linux devices. Later on, in 2018, the game was re-released for the Nintendo Switch.
Payday 3 will not be available on previous-gen consoles. It will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. However, Nintendo Switch users remain confused about the game’s release on the platform.

Will Payday 3 be on Nintendo Switch?
Payday 2 was released on Nintendo Switch in 2018, almost 5 years after the game’s initial release. However, Payday 2 was made for old-gen consoles, which made it compatible with the Switch.
On the other hand, Payday 3 is more graphically and mechanically advanced than its predecessor. The game is a lot heavier than before, which made Starbreeze Studios not release it for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
However, the Nintendo Switch is a significant console platform with many players. Additionally, most games will eventually get a Switch port. Taking the new engine of Payday 3 into account, a Nintendo Switch port might become available a few months after the game’s worldwide release.
The game’s developers have not made any official announcements about the game’s release on Nintendo Switch yet. Switch players might have to wait a few months to get their hands on Payday 3 on their respective platforms.
