After a long while, the Warwick rework is finally here in Wild Rift. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Patch 5.2 is probably the biggest Wild Rift update we have received in a while. It included tons of unique additions that we had never seen before, like Hextech Baron, T-Hex, new objectives, etc. Not only that, but the Hextech Portal also works differently compared to its PC counterpart.

As for the newest patch 5.3, it is an Arcane-themed patch. Moreover, for this patch, they announced some arcane-themed changes. That includes the addition of two champions, Heimerdinger and Ambessa Medarda. Additionally, they also announced some Hextech and augment-oriented game modes, etc.

Moreover, alongside all of the changes, Riot has confirmed that two of the most popular Zaun champions were getting massive reworks. They are Singed and Warwick. And recently, Riot has revealed every piece of information related to Warwick’s rework. And since the rework has finally arrived in the live version, here’s everything that got reworked.

Wild Rift Patch 5.3b: Warwick Rework

  • Base Stat:
    • Base mana: 300 >>> 340
    • Base mana regeneration: 9 >>> 16
    • Growth Attack Damage: 3.6 >>> 4.5
  • Passive – Eternal Hunger:
    • Damage: (12~46) + 15% bonus Attack Damage + 10% Ability Power >>> (12~61) + 20% bonus Attack Damage + 10% Ability Power
  • 1st Skill – Jaws of the Beast:
    • Adjusted how the enemy is targeted
    • Removed
      • Hold: Warwick also clamps on the target, leaping behind them and following their movement
    • New
      • Tap: Lunges forward and bites the target enemy
      • Drag: Leaping behind targets and following their movement
    • Mana consumption: 40/45/50/55 >>> full level 40
  • 2nd Skill – Blood Hunt:
    • New:
      •  Active casting increases Warwick’s vision range, which ignores terrains (up to 1300)
      • Increase sense range of active casting (full map)
    • Cooldown: 80/70/60/50s >>> 70/60/50/40s
  • 3rd Skill – Primal Howl
    • New:
      •  Recasting Primal Howl within 1s does not trigger a fear effect, and 45% cooldown is returned; if fear is triggered, then no cooldown reduction
    • Mana consumption: full level 40 >>> full level 30
  • 4th Skill – Infinite Duress:
    • The first stage of Infinite Duress is no longer target-directed ability, but a ranged one
    • Hit effects will be changed to 4 times while suppressing the target
    • New:
      • Warwick leaps a huge distance that scales with his Movement Speed, 5s within landing his next basic attack will be empowered
      • If the empowered basic attack hits the target successfully, he leaps to the target, dealing damage while suppressing the target

A lot of things regarding Warwick were changed. But the important part is that his damage got massively buffed and the rest are more or less quality-of-life buffs. This means that, if you already main this champion in Wild Rift, you will feel like it’s even easier to play this champion.

Warwick will certainly become the best jungler once again with this patch, but we have to wait and see how this affects pro play.
