Riot Games have unveiled the launch skin for the upcoming champion Zeri, PROJECT: Zeri.
In every significant patch in Wild Rift, we get multiple champion releases. And this patch is no exception.
In patch 4.0, Riot has announced two new champions. The first champion is Zoe, and the second is Zeri. Furthermore, Zoe’s first skin will be from a new skin line, Mythmaker Zoe. However, Riot has unveiled in their preview that Zeri’s launch skin will be from an already well-established PROJECT universe, PROJECT: Zeri.
PROJECT is an alternative universe skin line initially released for PC League of Legends. It is set in a futuristic cyberpunk world. PROJECT universe itself is divided into three skin lines: PROJECT (PROJECT: Yi, PROJECT: Fiora, PROJECT: Vayne, etc.), Program (Program Camille, Program LeBlanc, Program Lissandra, etc.), and Cyber Pop (Cyber Pop Akshan, and Cyber Pop Zoe.).
Riot initially released the PROJECT skin line in 2014 with the release of PROJECT: Yasuo. A year later, Riot expanded the skin line with the release of PROJECT: Yi, PROJECT: Fiora, PROJECT: Leona, PROJECT: Lucian, and PROJECT: Zed. Although it’s an old skin line, it is the most recognizable skin line League of Legends has ever seen.
While for PC, the launch skin for Zeri was Withered Rose Zeri. For Wild Rift meanwhile Zeri’s first skin will be a PROJECT skin. It is unlikely that we will see this skin in PC League of Legends as Riot mentioned previously that they are not planning to release Wild Rift exclusive skins elsewhere.
