According to the leaks going around in the Beta, we might see some new banner system from the upcoming Genshin Impact 5.3 version.
It seems like the developers at Hoyoverse are finally starting to listen to the demands of the players and introducing a new banner system at the beginning of version 5.3 of Genshin Impact.
This Free to Play Gacha RPG has been the center of attention for players for the past 3 years but not without their complaints. And ever since the release of Natlan, the devs are slowly addressing this issue and now we might finally get something that we have been asking for ever since the game’s release.
Do keep in mind that all the information that I have gathered is through rumors and ‘Beta’ leaks, not official confirmation from Hoyoverse. Therefore, place proper doubts and take all of these with a large grain of salt.
New Banner System in Genshin Impact 5.3
There are 4 types of usual banner systems (exempting Chronicle Wish) in Genshin Impact:
- New Limited Wish Banner
- Rerun Banner
- Weapon Banner
- Standard Banner
According to rumors the Limited Wish banner, not the reruns will stay for the entirety of patches from now on. This means the new characters will be available for wishing for the full update making it easier for players to get them.
This is understandable considering the fact that we are already over 90 characters in the game and new characters are getting added in almost every patch. The devs are already having problems with providing certain characters their required reruns and releases (ex. Shenhe, Wriothesley).
The weapons banner may follow the same system for the new character’s signature weapons but there hasn’t been any confirmation regarding that matter. Do keep in mind that the 5.3 version may also introduce the long-awaited Chronicle wish banner to balance out Liyue character reruns!!!
