Infinity Ward finally decided to nerf self-revive in Warzone 2.0 after players expressed their discontent with this overpowered equipment.

Call of Duty Warzone introduced a new battle royale experience for players worldwide. The BR title featured new in-game features that made it unique from other games. One of the most highlighted features of the game was the self-revive kit available in buy stations and as legendary ground loot.

Warzone 2.0 also features the self-revive kit like most features from its predecessor. However, with the new backpack system, players can stack self-revive kits, whereas previously, it was limited to one. The multiple stacking of self-revive kits is causing controversy as many players in the community are demanding a nerf.

Surprisingly, Infinity Ward has considered the player complaints as they have nerfed self-revive with the Season 1 Reloaded update. Here’s an in-depth look at the current state of self-revive in Warzone 2.0 and DMZ.

Self-Revive Nerfed following Player Complaints

Players had been complaining about the self-revive since Warzone 2.0’s release. According to most players, self-revive was overpowered as they were storable in backpacks. So, most players were storing multiple self-revives in their backpacks, making them impossible to kill during long-range gunfights.

Previously in Warzone 1, there was an audio cue for when a player used self-revive. However, it was removed from Warzone 2.0, making self-revive silent so players could get back on their feet without repercussions.

Looking at most players’ sentiments regarding the self-revive, Infinity Ward has finally gone ahead and nerfed it. Now, players can hear an audio cue when someone near them uses a self-revive. The nerf makes it impossible for most players to use it multiple times, as other players will get notified each time they use it.

While the nerf might seem like an improvement, they could have essentially removed the feature of carrying multiple self-revives and kept them silent. However, it is too early to tell whether the nerf will affect the pick rate of self-revive, as players are just getting used to the new meta of Warzone 2.0 Season 1 Reloaded.
