Warzone 2.0 Season 3 features new movement changes. Here’s a look at the new changes in movement mechanics of Warzone 2.0.
Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is the direct sequel to Warzone 1. While the game borrows the most fundamental mechanics from its predecessor, its movement was revamped completely. Warzone 2.0’s new movement mechanics were done to reinvent the game’s flow.
Warzone 1’s primary movement mechanic is based on sliding and bunnyhopping. However, Warzone 2.0 deviated from it to a more traditional movement mechanic that is slow-paced compared to its predecessor.
The players and content creators have been vocal about their discontent regarding the game’s movement mechanics. The devs saw a decline in the number of live players, which led to them changing the game’s movement with the Season 3 update.

New Movement Changes
The Season 3 patch notes contained two specific movement changes, which have indeed increased the movement flow of the game. Here are the particular movement changes:
- Dive
- Diving fire delay reduced
- Slide
- Sliding speed slightly increased
The diving fire delay reduction allows players to pull out their guns faster after committing to dolphin diving. Dolphin diving is a handy mechanic that enables players to make evasive maneuvers. Reducing the diving fire delay will help players return fire faster after escaping a tricky situation or making aggressive plays in tight cases.
On the other hand, the sliding speed has been slightly increased. Sliding is an essential movement mechanic that allows players to move from one point to another at rapid speed. The initial sliding speed rendered the movement mechanic totally useless. However, with the new changes, players can use Sliding to their advantage during combat or traversing.
