Warzone 2.0 is finally getting Customizable Perk Packages with the Season 2 update. The Season 2 update is set to feature massive loadout changes.
Call of Duty Warzone is Infinity Ward’s biggest live service title, spanning over three CoD cycles. The game has received widespread success, gaining mass appreciation from CoD enthusiasts. It introduced many unique features to the game, starting with a new looting system, loadouts, and more.
Warzone 1 transitioned into Warzone 2.0 with the launch of Modern Warfare 2. The sequel contained every core mechanic from its predecessor except a few features revamped by the devs. One of the most unwanted revamps was done to the perk system, which is, fortunately, changing with the Season 2 update.
Customizable Perk Package
Warzone 2.0 does not have the traditional loadout system of Warzone 1. Currently, players can obtain their loadout from public events. In Warzone 1, players could get loadouts from the public events and by purchasing a loadout drop from buy stations.
Aside from the loadout drop, players are bound to pick from the default perk packages in Warzone 2.0. In Warzone 1, players could edit their perks, making space for their playstyles. However, this perk customization introduced issues like the Serpentine perk problem, allowing players to evade gunfights easily.
While the devs tried to solve the problem by introducing the new perk system, it only brought issues such as no protection from UAVs or radars. The community was unhappy with the perk system, so Infinity Ward has finally decided to add Customizable Perk Packages with a limited choice of perks.
The perk customization will allow players to tailor their perks according to their needs, making it easy for them to set up their own playstyles. Furthermore, it will reduce the UAV spamming problem, which has been a big issue in the community.
