Virtus.pro has announced the signing of JoyStiCK, Always & dan, the massively successful trio from the ex-empire roster.

With Team Empire dropping their core Rainbow Six roster after the Six Invitational 2022, Dmitry “Always” Mitrahovich, Danila “dan” Dontsov, and Danil “JoyStiCK” Gabov are all back in the top tier of R6 esports with Virtus.pro.

The new additions mean Kirill “SmashByAsh” Belozerov and Yaroslav “FMX” Kurzin will be leaving the org.

Both “Always” and “dan” have been brought on as players, while “JoyStiCK” has been recruited as a coach. According to Ubisoft’s transfer rules, every midseason a team may only bring in two new players and one new coach, however, coaches are sometimes given temporary playing privileges in “exceptional circumstances”. But whether or not VP will really try to use this perk remains to be seen.

The trio of JoyStiCK, Always & dan has proved themselves to be a powerhouse on Team Empire. They most recently became the runners-up of the Six Mexico Major and Six Invitational 2022, barely being denied from becoming the world champions by TSM.

Virtus.pro will still play under the “Outsiders” label since VP is a Russian organization. Outsiders finished EUL Stage 2 in eighth place, barely two points ahead of the new Team Empire, who finished at the very bottom in tenth place. But with the new signings, VP will now look to climb to the top of the table in Stage 3, and with this talent, this dream might become a reality.

New Virtus.pro Rainbow Six Siege roster:

  • Alan “Rask” Ali;
  • Pavel “p4sh4” Kosenko (captain);
  • Andrey “m1loN” Mironov;
  • Dmitry “Always” Mitrahovich;
  • Danila “dan” Dontsov;
  • Danil “JoyStiCK” Gabov (coach).
