VALORANT players have been requesting it since the game’s release, and it’s finally coming. Riot Games has officially confirmed that the highly desired Replay System will be included in Patch 11.06, which is set to be released on PC in September 2025. While console fans will have to wait a little longer, this update represents a huge milestone for the competitive shooter.

Why VALORANT Players Have Been Waiting for a Replay System

From professional players to casual gamers, the replay feature has been one of the most demanded quality-of-life tools in VALORANT. Here’s why:

  • Post-Match Review: Competitive players will finally be able to analyze their games in detail, checking crosshair placement, utility usage, and decision-making at every stage.
  • Content Creation: Streamers, YouTubers, and esports editors can create high-quality highlight reels and educational content without needing third-party recording tools.
  • Tactical Learning: Teams can review matches together to identify mistakes, improve strategies, and prepare for tournaments.
  • Cheat Detection: Replays also give players and Riot’s anti-cheat team another way to spot suspicious behavior.

The lack of a built-in replay system has long been a missing piece in VALORANT’s otherwise robust competitive ecosystem, especially when compared to titles like CS:GO or Overwatch.

Replay System Release Date

According to Riot’s official announcement:

  • Patch Release: 11.06 (Expected September 2025) for PC
  • Console Release: Later in the year
  • Initial Availability: Only Competitive Matches will be reviewable at launch
  • Future Plans: Riot intends to expand the system to other modes in upcoming updates

The first version will let players review recent matches played on the current patch, giving them a detailed in-game playback tool with pause, rewind, and perspective switching.

A Game-Changing Feature for VALORANT

The replay system has the potential to alter how players approach tactics in  VALORANT. Players will no longer be limited to using memory or external recording software to examine their games. This move is expected to have a significant influence on climbing in ranked matches, pro scene preparation, and community content creation.

With the system debuting in just a few weeks, the countdown is officially on for one of VALORANT’s most-awaited features.
