VALORANT Battle Royale could be coming sooner than you think.

VALORANT is a free-to-play competitive 5v5 character-based tactical shooter game developed by Riot Games. Riot first released VALORANT back in June of 2020. The game is heavily inspired by the famous game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with an added twist, characters can use different abilities.

Since its release, VALORANT has become hugely popular among gamers of all genras. While CS: GO caters to the hardcore player base VALORANT is spreading its appeal to casual and hardcore players alike. For some time now there have been rumors going around of a VALORANT Battle Royale being in the works.

Back in April we again got info about a downed feature that was apparently part of the VALORANT Battle Royale mode. With the new Agent KAY/O’s release, we saw Riot using the downed mechanic as part of his ultimate ability.

But this new downed mechanic could very well be used in a VALORANT Battle Royale game mode. Recent rumors and leaks have confirmed that a small number of Chinese players are currently testing the Battle Royale mode for VALORANT.

VALORANT Battle Royale Test:

According to a data miner called PlayerIGN, a small group of Chinese players are testing VALORANT’s Battle Royale mode. Riot apparently invited some players from the Chinese PUBG community to test VALORANT.

The reason Riot invited players from the PUBG community might be because they were testing the new Battle Royale mode.

Take all of this with a grain of salt as Riot Games is yet to make any official announcement regarding this matter. We still don’t know much about the VALORANT Battle Royale mode but we will be sure to update everyone as soon as more info becomes public.
