Planning to save primogems for new and rerun characters in Genshin Impact? Here are all the characters coming in Genshin Impact 5.6 and 5.7 banners.
As Genshin Impact approaches the end of the Natlan arc, rerun banners are becoming more frequent. With official confirmations from HoYoverse and credible leaks, we now have a good idea of what’s coming next—both new characters and returning favorites.
I’ll go through all the possible characters and reruns that will happen between 5.6 to 5.7. Remember that most information is from leakers and speculations based on previous rerun patterns. Therefore, take all of this with a grain of salt.
Upcoming Characters in Genshin Impact 5.6
Genshin Impact 5.6 is going to introduce 2 new characters along with long-awaited reruns.
Escoffier
The first character to be introduced in Genshin Impact 5.6 is Escoffier. She has already been revealed in the upcoming character silhouettes back in version 5.4. But now it is official from Hoyoverse too.
From leaks, I can say that she will be an extremely useful support from Cryo and Hydro units. Both her elemental skill and burst allow her to buff her teammates’ Cryo and Hydro damage. The buff can be up to a 55% increase in damage, but there is a catch. She requires only Hydro and Cryo teammates.
Escoffier shows a high synergy for the upcoming 5.7 character in Genshin Impact: Skirk. It has already been leaked by multiple sources that she will be a Cryo unit. Therefore, if you are planning to pull on Skirk, then Escoffier might be the first on your pick list. It is a similar situation with Mavuika and Citlali. Without Citlali, you won’t be able to pull out the full potential of Mavuika. And similar can be said for Skirk and Escoffier.
Ifa
If you have played the latest Saurian event, then you have already been introduced to Ifa. The go-to Saurian doctor in Natlan. He is going to be a 4-star Anemo unit who will join Escoffier in the first phase of 5.6.
He will play a hybrid support role where he will heal and group up enemies. But his playstyle requires him to be in the field to heal and deal damage. His kit includes a flying mechanic that is similar to Wanderer.
Kinich
The rerun character in the first phase of 5.6 is none other than Kinich. Most people were expecting Mualani to follow up Xilolen, but it seems Hoyoverse is going reverse. Kinich is an extremely strong dendro unit, focused on the burning reaction.
If you can pair him up with Emily, then his damage quadruples. He offers diverse mobility (Spiderman of Teyvat). So, if you are looking for a strong dendro DPS, then he is your guy.
Raiden
Completing the Archon rerun in the 5.0 patches is Raiden. This was a no-brainer as she was the only archon left to rerun. Raiden is an excellent support and Burst DPS who is still relevant in 5.5 and will continue to do so. Her C2 is still broken, and many players are looking to get her in 5.6.
Navia
Partnering up with Kinnich in the 2nd phase of 5.6 is Navia. One of the strongest units from the Fontaine patch, Navia is an excellent DPS. She is perfect in C0 and offers a fun new playstyle for those who want to experiment with Geo.
Upcoming Characters in Genshin Impact 5.7
It has been sort of confirmed by leakers that at least 2 new characters will join in Genshin Impact 5.7.
Skirk
The next big character Hoyoverse has been setting up after Mavuika is Skirk, who will finally become playable in 5.7. While there isn’t any confirmation whether she will be in the first phase or the second phase, my gut says she will be in the first phase with Mavuika.
There hasn’t been much information regarding Skirk’s kit but if we take her artifacts into consideration, then it might involve two different playstyles. This makes sense as her pupil Childe also has two different types of playstyles (sort of).
Dahlia
The deacon of Favonious Church will be introduced in the Archon quest in 5.6 but will become playable in 5.7. He will be a 4-star character and come with Skirk.
Mavuika
Hoyoverse loves emptying players’ pockets and will do so in 5.7 by rerunning Mavuka along with Skirk’s release. Mavuika is the strongest unit hailing from Natlan and can be unstoppable with the right team comps. She is an excellent support and even better burst DPS.
Mualani
in the second half of 5.7, Mualani will finally get her long-awaited rerun. She is the first 5-star Natlan character introduced in Genshin Impact and is an excellent Hydro unit with a fun and unique playstyle.
Citlali
Teaming up with Mualani is Granny Citlali. She will be the only Natlan character that didn’t get a rerun at this point. It also makes sense for her to come as she is the perfect support for Mavuika.
