With the release of Kinich, Natlan version 5.0 comes to a close. But Genshin Impact is just getting started. As with the new region, there are a lot of new characters coming. And almost all of them are looking like a must-pull.
In this guide, I will cover all the leaks, speculation, and confirmed characters that will be coming in versions 5.1 to 5.4. Keep in mind, that only a few characters’ introduction was confirmed by Hoyoverse. Everything else is either speculation, leaks, and some calculations I have based on previous banner releases and rerun gaps. Therefore, take all of these with a large grain of salt!
Characters Coming in Genshin Impact 5.1
Xilolen
One of the characters that are confirmed to make their appearance in version 5.1 is Xilolen. If leakers are to be believed then she got significant buffs in the latest beta tests. She will significantly buff a team’s performance except for dendro and Anemo units.
Xilolen seems to be overall supportive of sub-DPS capabilities. She doesn’t rely on traditional Geo mechanics like crystalize. This makes her quite versatile. Keep in mind that she’ll not only be a buffer but also a healer. Her burst will provide healing similar to Jean’s.
Similar to other Natlan characters, she will also have a unique traversal ability that targets to improve the movement in high terrains especially mountains and difficult rocky pathways throughout Natlan. You can find more details, in our possible leaks section, here.
We can expect to encounter Xiolen’s banner in the first half of 5.1. There won’t be any new 4 stars in this patch. If you want a deep dive into Xilolen’s potential then check out this article!
Chiori
As Wriothesley is forgotten by Hoyo, the last remaining character from Fontaine who didn’t get her rerun is Chiori.
It is not uncommon for Hoyoverse to run characters of similar elements and as Xilolen is said to boost Geo damage, I think Chiori will make her appearance in the first phase.
Nahida
The main attraction of version 5.1 is the Sabzeruz festival in Sumeru. This makes it highly possible for Nahida to have her rerun. Keep in mind that Hoyoverse recently switched their archon lineup (usually Zhongli comes in .0 patches but Raiden came in 5.1). But I think it is the perfect time to introduce her again as we just got the dendro character Kinich. He can significantly with Nahida on his team. We can expect Nahida to appear in the second half of 5.1
Hu Tao
I have come across multiple leaks claiming HuTao is coming to the second half of version 5.1. This was a bit unexpected as everyone including myself was hoping to see her in the Lantern Rite patch, hopefully in the Chronicle Wish banner. But she’s an excellent DPS and can be worth your pulls if you plan to invest!
Also don’t forget that she will come with the Staff of Homa in the weapon banner. It is an extremely versatile weapon and can significantly improve the damage of any polearm DPS character.
Characters Coming in Genshin Impact 5.2
Chasca
Moving on to 5.2, leaks suggest Chasca will be the new 5-star character from Natlan. This patch will also follow the lead of 5.1 and will only have 1 new 5-star character. But the 4-star limited character Ororon is rumored to be released in this patch as well.
From the Archon story quest, we already know that Chasca has an Anemo vision and will be a bow user. But leakers and data miners claim that she has the ability to switch elements with her elemental skill and what’s more she is able to fly.
Her flying mechanic is said to be similar to Wanderer’s but significantly better. It is said that her Anemo infusion will allow us to use that infused element.
Zhongli/Furina
Next on the archon cycle, if the usual pattern was to be followed, we were supposed to get the Pyro Archon in 5.2. But due to Mavuika (Archon currently shown) being mortal and us not getting the Pyro Traveler yet, we might see archons like Zhongli or Furina make their rerun.
Zhongli seems to be the most obvious choice in this case as Furina had her rerun just back in 4.7 which was 2 patches before.
Kokomi
The last time we got Kokomi’s banner was all the way back in version 3.8. She is a magnificent driver, especially for Dendro Hyperbloom reaction, and a perfect partner to pair up with Nahida if you decide to get her. Her value only went up after the release of Furina, therefore, her demand will be very high among the player base making her the perfect choice for the latter half of 5.2.
Arlecchino
Finally, if the rumors are to be believed we will get Arlecchino in the final phase of version 5.2. She is one of the strongest DPS in the game, Arlecchino was introduced in patch 4.6 and is in need of a rerun. With Natlan’s premium DPS characters like Mavuika on the rise, I think it is the best time to introduce her to the roster.
Characters Coming in Genshin Impact 5.3
Mavuika
The Pyro Archon Mavuika has been introduced in the version 5.0 Archon quest. Mavuika is coming in the first phase of version 5.3. Hoyoverse introduces archons of their regions in .3 versions. And the archon quest of version 5 will also come to a close in this period.
Mavuika seems to be a DPS character when she is in C0. Her support capabilities shine when she is in her C2. And according to the leakers, she seems to be the one who will topple the reign of Bennet as the best support in the game.
There has already been a popular leak going around claiming she will be able to ride a motorcycle much like the Inferno rider in Wuthering Wave. Her elemental skill should be able to do that.
Yoimiya
Following Mavuika in the first phase of 5.3 is Yoimiya. She has been the constant companion of every archon release since Inazuma. So it is a no-brainer that the chances of her running along Mavuika are extremely high. She is a great single-target pyro DPS who can become one of the best carriers if properly invested.
Citlali
The second phase of version 5.3 will introduce Citlali. A 5-star Cryo character who will take on the shielder Sub-DPS role. Leakers suggest that she can become more versatile with constellations (something quite common in Natlan 5 stars).
According to others, her kit is similar to Layla’s. She will be the premium Cryo shielder. There hasn’t been any update regarding her skill scaling yet. I personally think her shield will have something to do with travel mechanics.
Neuvillette
Completing the roster for the 5.3 phase 2 is none other than Neuvillette. The Hydro Sovereign is arguably the best DPS in the game and is a great pull if you want a strong Hydro DPS. He is easy to build and can dish out massive damage with a team catered to his mechanics. He will join Citlali in the second phase of version 5.3.
Characters Coming in Genshin Impact 5.4
Madame Ping
Completing the Adeptus lineup of Liyue, Madame Ping is next. She will be the first character in version 5.4. She will get a similar introduction to Cloud Retainer. Like her name is Xianyun, not Cloud Retainer. But she will have a younger female model similar to Keqing.
She will be a Hydro DPS unit. There aren’t many details on her kit yet. Rumors suggest that her Signature Weapon will be extremely useful for Xiao.
Liyue Chronicle Wish Banner
5.4 will also host the Lantern Rite event and here we will be getting a new Chronicle Wish banner. Though many rumors claim it to come at 5.3. I am confident that it will be on 5.4. This time it will focus on Liyue characters. So, we can expect to the following characters and their weapons:
- Xiao
- Ganyu
- Keqing
- Zhongli (if he doesn’t come in 5.2)
- Baizu
- Qiqi
