In light of the ongoing war in Ukraine, Ubisoft has decided to remove both Team Empire and Virtus.pro’s R6Share skins from the Rainbow Six Siege store.

Both the Russian organizations, who are currently in the R6 European League, are being sanctioned to put further pressure on the Russian government. The teams are also required to play under a neutral banner for now.

However, Ubisoft has stated that “Russian players will still be able to compete in our regional and international competitions if they choose to, but will be required to compete under a neutral banner, and have accepted to do so.”

The R6Share program was built to share revenue from the Pro-League cosmetic bundles that Ubisoft introduced. Team Empire had two bundles in the Siege store, which included the 9x19VSN and Mk 14 EBR weapon skin and two charms. While Virtus.Pro had skins for the SAS M590A1 shotgun and Kali’s CSRX 300 Rifle.

This removal will significantly hurt both organizations, but the current situation in Ukraine has led Ubisoft to make this decision. Siege players who have already bought this skin will still get to keep it in their inventory, so no need to worry there.

However, newer players will not be able to purchase these bundles until further notice from Ubisoft.
