Ubisoft’s live-service FPS shooter Rainbow Six Siege is still going strong even after 8 years of release. With such a large player base, cheating is a major issue in Siege, and Ubisoft is fighting hard against it.

Rainbow Six Siege players were frustrated in 2023 because of cheaters plaguing the servers. At one point, some players started losing hope in Ubisoft and their fight against cheat makers.

But today, Ubisoft has shared the latest Rainbow Six Siege anti-cheat blog on their website. The data showed that Ubisoft has banned a staggering amount of 100,000 cheaters throughout 2023.

Through this latest blog, the devs at Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege wanted to acknowledge the increasing player frustration with cheaters and reassure them that they are working hard under the hood to protect the player experience.

Ubisoft has even formed a special task force for Siege’s anti-cheat named ‘Strike Team‘. The team includes experts from multiple fields with a common goal to strengthen the anti-cheat measures.

Apart from that, the Siege team has addressed various types of cheats over the recent months and even identified a popular cheat provider that led to “10,000 bans within a rolling 30-day period.”

Additionally, Ubisoft also introduced Data Bans that worked on top of the anti-cheat features. The team is also working towards making machine learning solution, which will aim to broaden their ability to detect cheaters in Siege.

So combined with BattlEye, Ubisoft’s own QB anti-cheat system and Data Bans, Rainbow Six Siege has banned 100,000 cheaters in 2023 alone. This is a huge number and it shows that the fight against cheaters is not going to be easy or end anytime soon.

Rainbow Six Siege is one of the biggest FPS games out there, and Ubisoft knows that. So they will be increasing their anti-cheat efforts to tackle the surging number of cheaters and provide players with the fair experience they deserve.
