Be the space pirate you always wanted to be!
Starfield is Bethesda’s newest entry into the RPG industry, based on space exploration. The game, set in the 24th century, progresses with characters carrying out missions on planets all over the settled systems to dig out secrets and land new discoveries. The game needs frequent travel from one planet to another for missions, and the only mode of travel is ships. Also, completing the tasks and quests requires a continuous flow of resources and items, which in turn also require credits.
All of the above can be obtained by one unlawful measure, namely, by stealing ships. Even though stealing ships is deemed a crime in the Settled Systems, it can be done cautiously. Following some easy steps, ships can be stolen from hostiles of the same level. So, this Guide will help you by going through some easy steps on How to Steal Ships in Starfield.
How to Steal Spaceships in Starfield
In order to steal ships, players will have to defeat hostile ships coming in contact while exploring through star systems. Players will have to engage in combat with hostile ships of the same level and disarm the ships to loot and steal them.
At first, after coming into contact, players will have to put the engines of the hostile ships on target lock and destroy them using laser weapons. Try not to damage other parts of the ship other than its engines. After you have made the ship immobile, dock it.
After boarding the ship:
- Defeat all the enemies engaging in combat and take charge of the ships.
- Go to the pilot seat in the cockpit and take command of the ship.
- Make sure you have your Piloting skill ranked up to four to commandeer any ship(Piloting skill is acquired by spending skill points).
Then, you can register the ship if you want to sell it or keep it for your own use. Ships grounded on the surface of planets can also be stolen.
