The Starfield Mission Board is a one-stop shop for different kinds of quests that you can complete in return for credits and other valuable rewards. Here’s all you need to know about the Mission Board in order to get started.
Starfield is Bethesda’s latest RPG, featuring its gameplay around space exploration. Starfield offers players the freedom to explore galaxies full of planets, filled with its own native flora and fauna, and also not to mention – space pirates.
The main story and major faction missions will give players ample things to do, but separate from the main quests, the player has the option to do Mission Board quests that provide them with a constant source of credits, valuables, and also XP.
What are Mission Board Quests?
Starfield Mission Boards are kiosk-like consoles that you can find scattered in major cities throughout the entire galaxy. They are also sometimes present at minor settlements and in science outposts.
Accessing the console allows players to select a variety of secondary missions that are not related to the main campaign of the game. Although there are Faction-specific mission board quests, finishing them will not affect your approval, standing, or relationship with the faction. These generic, non-story-driven missions can be of a few kinds. They are:
- Cargo Missions: The player is tasked with delivering a cargo to a destination
- Survey Missions: The player is tasked with gathering information on a specific planet
- Supply Missions: The player is tasked with providing resources to another settlement through a cargo link
- Exploration Missions: The player is tasked with finding a planet with a specific or a set of characteristics.
- Bounty Missions: The player is tasked with finding and killing a target
- Passenger Missions: The player is tasked with delivering passengers to a destination
- Rescue Missions: The player is tasked with rescuing a hostage from an enemy ship
- Sabotage Missions: The player is tasked with disrupting a competing business for Ryujin
- Piracy Missions: The player is tasked with stealing cargo from a ship for the Crimson Fleet
- Hunting Missions: The player is tasked with clearing out hostile inhabitants
Each Mission Board has a few missions open at a particular time. And you must first finish one of the existing missions for new quests to arrive. The good thing is that you can accept as many missions as you like and complete them whenever you want to.
Completing them will earn you rewards depending on the difficulty of the mission. Additionally, most Mission Boards will offer missions at the recommended level of the city where you accepted them.
