Starfield have a feature in the game, that lets you have parents. In this guide, I will tell you how to find your parents.
Starfield is one of the most wholesome RPG games, even though it was released not too long ago. Don’t just take my word for it; read the critics’ reviews, and you’ll understand why I’ve reached this conclusion. Bethesda has made an effort to provide players with a wholesome experience, even including your parents in the game. Yes, you can actually meet your in-game parents in Starfield as part of the role-playing experience.
We all know how Starfield offers various ways to define our backstory, and to me, the most interactive option is the trait called “Kid Stuff.” This trait allows us to meet our parents in the game and experience funny and heartwarming family interactions. I don’t know about you, but this addition to the game made my journey through the stars feel more personal.
So, if you’re eager to reunite with your loving mother and father in this infinite space, follow our guide.
How to Find Your Parents in Starfield
Here’s how to add parents to your Starfield journey:
- When creating your character, choosing the “Kid Stuff” trait is step one to gaining parents in Starfield. This trait is the key to unlocking the ability to connect with your family.
- After picking “Kid Stuff,” progress through the early main quests “The Old Neighborhood” and “One Small Step.” These missions establish your character’s backstory in the Settled Systems.
- Once you complete “The Old Neighborhood,” Noel will approach you in The Lodge and hand you a Note From Dad, triggering the first chance to meet them. Now, you need to visit New Atlantis. When you reach New Atlantis, you’ll receive an activity notification directing you to visit your parents. Follow the waypoint to Pioneer Towers in the Residential District.
- Take the elevator up Pioneer Towers to your parents’ apartment door. Interact with it to trigger a short cutscene where you reunite with your loving mother and father for the first time!
Now that you know how to find your parents, let’s look at how to get the most out of your family interactions.
Interacting With Your Parents
As you continue visiting your parents between your galactic adventures, you’ll unlock more heartwarming content. You’ll receive gifts like the powerful Sir Livingston’s Pistol and even an upgraded ship called the Wanderwell. Your parents will also offer gear, ship upgrades, credits, and recipes as your relationship develops.
It will be better if you listen to them closely, to their affectionate dialogue that will occasionally interspersed with light bickering. Their conversations make the world feel more alive. Additionally, you will receive recipes from your mother that you can craft into delicious meals. The meatloaf recipe produces a top-tier health item.
You should visit them frequently to enjoy their entertaining conversations and the cozy comforts of home. The “Kid Stuff” trait creates a more immersive RPG experience through impactful family connections.
Having parents makes Starfield a more personal, story-driven experience. Though not full companions, they offer humor, bonuses, and a sense of family as you journey through the Settled Systems. I highly recommend that give this immersive trait a try on your next play-through!
