In Starfield, at one moment, you have to choose justice or injustice. Because, you need to give the power hack proof to Louisa Reyez or Zoe Kaminski. Now, who will you pick?
Starfield was released just a couple of days ago, but some players are already overwhelmed by the choices they need to make inside the game. The “Alternating Currents” side quest in Starfield presents an intriguing moral dilemma: should you help Louisa Reyez expose corruption or aid Zoe Kaminski in covering it up?
When you go to investigate power outages in the city of The Well, you will discover proof of a bank hacking scheme. At the quest’s end, you must decide whether to turn the evidence over to Louisa Reyez, an engineer trying to solve the outages, or Zoe Kaminski, a clerk for the shady Trade Authority opposing Reyez’s efforts. This guide will give you an opinion on whom to give the power hack proof.
Give the Power Hack Proof to Louisa Reyez or Zoe Kaminski?
Consequences of Helping Louisa Reyez
If you hand the proof to Reyez, then she can continue to investigate corruption within the Trade Authority. She plans to bring them to justice for their criminal actions. The player receives a simple thank you and 2000 credits from Reyez for their help. Your appearance has no negative consequences for Reyez. Siding with her could be considered the more ethical choice and aid the character in uncovering injustice.
Consequences of Helping Zoe Kaminski
However, giving the evidence to Kaminski results in the cover-up of the hacking scheme, making the player partially complicit. But you will get 2000 credits. Moreover, Kaminski will promise Trade Authority connections that can be useful in the future. Morally, this makes the player complicit in concealment.
Which Choice is Better?
Now, you do get tangible rewards of 2000 credit either way. But, siding with Reyez is arguably more ethical. But, Kaminski’s connections could prove useful later. So, you must choose according to your role-playing style.
There are no major gameplay differences. But the Alternating Currents, which give the power hack proof to Louisa Reyez or Zoe Kaminski, provide an interesting moral dilemma. Players must decide whether to aid the truth-teller or the corrupt authority. I will highly recommend that you follow your character’s personality.
