SMITE 2 players finally have a clearer look at what is coming next, and the latest roadmap is stacked with four major god releases across May and June. Hi-Rez and Titan Forge are bringing Atlas, Ah Puch, Horus, and Bastet to the battleground in back-to-back updates, giving support, mage, warrior, and jungle players plenty to look forward to over the next two months.
The roadmap begins on May 5 with Atlas, Titan of the Cosmos, followed by Ah Puch on May 19, Horus on June 2, and Bastet on June 16. Each update also includes additional content, balance changes, event progression, quality-of-life improvements, and more. Since the roadmap is still marked as subject to change, some details may shift before release.
Atlas Arrives in SMITE 2 on May 5
The first god in the new roadmap is Atlas, Titan of the Cosmos. He arrives with Update 34 on May 5 and is being positioned as a major support addition for SMITE 2.
According to the roadmap preview, Atlas was the number one most requested support god in player surveys. That alone makes his arrival a big deal, especially for players who have been waiting for more frontline and utility-focused options in the SMITE 2 roster.
Atlas is also getting some gameplay adjustments for his SMITE 2 version. His passive empowered attack is now tied to the Interact key, giving players more control over when to use it. His passive attack can also work with the deployed astrolabe to deal area damage, and he can move faster when not holding the astrolabe.
Update 34 will also bring the end of the Tracker Syndicate, two new Travelers for Zeus and Sylvanus, balance changes, Conquest adjustments, Tenacity changes, a Ratatoskr update, and several quality of life fixes.
Ah Puch Brings Decay to SMITE 2 on May 19
Ah Puch, Horrific God of Decay, joins SMITE 2 with Update 35 on May 19. His return should be especially exciting for players who enjoy area control, corpse interactions, and punishing enemies who stay grouped for too long.
In SMITE 2, Ah Puch will be able to pick up corpses faster when tossing them into walls or directly onto himself. His ultimate is also being changed so that it speeds him up while he stands inside it. On top of that, the ultimate will now deal ticking damage, cannot be body blocked by Wraiths, and spawns more Wraiths.
This update also kicks off The Darkstar Saga, a major new event that will run through Update 39. The event is expected to include new Wandering Market content, a Reward Saga, Reward Travelers, and multiple Travelers. The first drop includes a new Saga for Bellona, a Traveler for Ishtar, and a Reward Traveler for Morgan Le Fay.
Horus Joins the Fight on June 2
Horus, The Rightful Heir, arrives in Update 36 on June 2. While Horus is traditionally known as a warrior, the roadmap makes it clear that he is also one of the most requested support style gods after Atlas.
His SMITE 2 changes appear focused on making his ally-based gameplay feel smoother and more rewarding. When Horus flies to an ally with Protectorโs Surge, his stacks of Resolute will now be added to the heal without consuming those stacks. He will also land faster when using To The Skies, which should make his ultimate feel more responsive in real fights.
The Darkstar Saga will continue with this update as well, adding three new Travelers for Chiron, Vulcan, and Nut. For players who care about both roster expansion and cosmetic progression, Update 36 looks like one of the more meaningful roadmap stops.
Bastet Returns With a New Look on June 16
Bastet, Goddess of Cats, is scheduled to arrive in Update 37 on June 16. Out of all four gods on the roadmap, Bastet may end up being the most visually interesting release because she is getting an all-new model inspired by community feedback.
The roadmap notes that her new design is more cat-like and less humanoid, which directly responds to one of the biggest pieces of feedback around her appearance. Bastet is also described as one of the top priority junglers from player surveys, so her release should fill an important role for players who prefer fast, mobile, assassin-style gameplay.
Titan Forge has not shared full details on her new SMITE 2 kit yet, and the roadmap says it is still early for her +1 and Aspect teasers. However, just seeing Bastet locked into the schedule should be enough to get jungle players excited.
Update 37 will also continue The Darkstar Saga with two new Travelers for Mulan and Ne Zha.
SMITE 2 Roadmap Release Schedule
| Update | Release Date | New God | Title |
|---|---|---|---|
| Update 34 | May 5 | Atlas | Titan of the Cosmos |
| Update 35 | May 19 | Ah Puch | Horrific God of Decay |
| Update 36 | June 2 | Horus | The Rightful Heir |
| Update 37 | June 16 | Bastet | Goddess of Cats |
The Darkstar Saga Will Be a Major Part of the Roadmap
While the four god releases are the main attraction, The Darkstar Saga is also a big part of this roadmap. Starting with Update 35 on May 19, the event will bring new Wandering Market content through Update 39, which is expected to run until July 14.
That means SMITE 2 players are not just getting new playable gods. They are also getting a steady stream of event content, Travelers, cosmetics, balance updates, and gameplay improvements across several updates.
SMITE 2 Is Leaning Hard Into Community-Requested Gods
The most interesting part of this roadmap is how clearly it reflects player demand. Atlas, Horus, and Bastet are all tied to player survey results in some way, while Ah Puch brings back a very distinct mage playstyle that longtime SMITE fans know well.
That is a smart direction for SMITE 2. The sequel still has to win over players who miss the huge roster of the original game, and bringing back popular gods at a steady pace is one of the best ways to do it. Atlas adds support depth, Ah Puch adds magical pressure, Horus gives teams more utility, and Bastet brings another high-priority jungler into the mix.
