Build Your Base in Smalland Survive the Wilds
Finding a safe spot to build your base can be a daunting task. All you have to do is, look out for the Great Trees. These massive trees are the perfect places to build your base. Not only do they provide natural protection from nocturnal insect attacks, but they also offer abundant resources.
However, you have to claim a Great Tree as your own before you can make your base. First, reach the top of the tree and interact with the Gnome statue. This will give you the option to claim the tree as your base. Once claimed, you can move your base to different trees with the click of a button. A new marker will be added to the map to show where your Great Tree is, making it easy to find your way back.
How to Find a Great Tree
In Smalland Survive the Wilds, we have discovered two Great Trees up until now! But don’t rely solely on the map as sometimes the map cannot be reliable. What you have to watch out for is massive trees with mushrooms growing on them. However, there is no harm in keeping an eye out for the airlift balloon and platform.
Where to Build a Base
The Great Trees have unlimited base building spots. You can build your base anywhere, even on the branches, if you fancy. Of course, you can also settle for the flat center. However, if you prefer staying close to the roots, you won’t be as protected from predators. Moreover, you will also lose the chance to have fun with the Airlift. That is why don’t leaf any opportunity unexplored.
Why Should You Build Base On the Great Tree?
Great Trees in Smalland are more than just your average place to build your base. Not only do they protect you from pesky insects, but they also offer an array of benefits. One major perk is that once you claim a Great Tree, it’s all yours! No one can raid your base or steal your stuff unless you invite them in.
There are also Two additional features that come along when you claim a Great Tree. You will get a Butler and, of course, the Airlift. The Butler can easily transport items up and down the tree, saving you the trouble of climbing. Meanwhile, you can have fun with the Airlift, as I have already mentioned. The rest is up to you to explore.
Building a base in a Great Tree also means saying goodbye to mites and hello to collecting rainwater. And with all the natural resources around you, like leaves and branches, you’ll never go hungry or run out of fuel.
And if you ever want to move your base, don’t sweat. Just refute the base, and it will disappear. However, claiming another tree will make the previous Great Tree reappear with all your belongings.
