Find out how to solve the Neely’s Bar Jukebox Puzzle in Silent Hill 2 Remake.

Exploration is an important aspect of Silent Hill 2 Remake. As James, you will be exploring the ominous town of Silent Hill, investigating a letter from your late wife.

Naturally, this investigation will have lots of obstacles and puzzles. While some puzzles are short and can be solved quickly, i.e. inputting a code, others require more exploration of Silent Hill’s many foreboding locations.

Moreover, you’ll need to solve most puzzles to progress through the game. In fact, these puzzles make up a significant portion of Silent Hill 2’s gameplay.

In this article, we’ll look at how you can solve the Jukebox Puzzle in Neely’s Bar. This puzzle is the first big and proper puzzle in the game and sets the tone for the rest of the game moving forward.

Solving Jukebox Puzzle

After your first encounter with an enemy, you’ll find a matchbook next to a corpse which will point you in the direction of Neely’s Bar.

After entering the bar, you’ll spot an object covered with a cloth. Interact with it to uncover the Jukebox. Interact with it again and you’ll discover one half of a Broken Vinyl, after which the Jukebox will start to malfunction.

To solve this puzzle, you’ll need to find three items, a Button, a Coin, Glue, and the other half of the Broken Vinyl.

Jukebox Button Location

Saul-Street-Apartments

Leave Neely’s Bar and go southwest to reach Saul Street Apartments. Go inside using the red door next to the “16” number.

Keys

You’ll need to get into Apartment 9 on 3F to find the button. Once you’re inside the building, you’ll notice a map just past the office. Push the cupboard to the left to enter the office. There, you’ll find an Apartment Key, which you can use to enter Apartment 5.

Emergency-Exit-Stairs

Head to Apartment 5 and use the key to enter. Squeeze through the two gaps in the wall and climb out the window onto the emergency exit stairs. Head up the stairs and climb through the window to enter Apartment 9.

Search the bathroom opposite the window to find a hole in the wall. Interact with the hole and choose the option to dig deeper all 3 times, and you’ll find the Jukebox Button. You can leave the building using the emergency staircase.

Glue and Broken Vinyl Record Location

After leaving the apartment building, head north up Neely Street, until you reach Groovy Music on your left. After you kill the two enemies inside, head to the back and smash the glass along the wall to enter another room.

In the middle of the room, you’ll find a table with Glue and a Broken Vinyl on it.

Open your inventory, and use combine the two Broken Vinyls with the Glue to get the Glued Up Vinyl Record.

Neely’s Bar Coin Location

Next, go to the east end of Katz Street, and enter the Texan Cafe. Interact with the cash register, turn the key, and then press the button at the bottom to get Neely’s Bar Coin. You’ll have to fight an enemy, and after you’ve killed you can head back to Neely’s Bar.

Solving the Puzzle

Once you’re back at Neely’s Bar, interact with the Jukebox. Turn the record holder (the blue cog) and push down the lever. Turn the record holder toward the screen again and place the Glued Up Vinyl Record.

Next, place the Button on the empty slot, and insert the coin. Then, press the blue C switch and the 2 button. This will play the record and reward you with Neely’s Bar Key, finishing the puzzle.
