Shatterline is a new Free-to-Play FPS game currently in an early access state on Steam. The game has a roguelike Co-Op mode called Expedition and several traditional game modes such as TDM, Conquest, Plant-the-bomb, and Escort.

How Many Operators are There in Shatterline?
Shatterline is in an early state right now. Currently, in Season 1, there are 8 unique Operatives in Shatterline. These Operatives are also divided into 4 different Roles: Trooper, Support, Exo, and Recon.

As mentioned earlier, there are currently 8 unique operatives in the game. These Operators are also divided into 4 different categories or roles: Trooper, Support, Exo, and Recon. So, we’ll now explain every Operator based on their Roles. Additionally, we’ll mention what basic Abilities, Equipment, and Ultimates each Operator have. So, without further ado, let’s get started.
Mongoose

- Real Name: Dominic Wong
- Origin: China
- Role: Trooper
“Mongoose is a street-grown athlete, former gang member, and star of underground MMA tournaments. He has the persona of a “bad boy” who doesn’t care about rules, but is so good that the command has to turn a blind eye to his behavior. Mongoose lives for combat and enjoys the thrill of the front line.“
- Basic Abilities
- Increased Regeneration: As Mongoose is a Trooper, he has a super-regenerative power. Compared to Exo, Support, and Recon characters, the Increased Regeneration ability lets him heal at a very high rate.
- Expert Sapper: Just like super regeneration power, every Trooper is specialized in arming and defusing explosives. This ability comes in handy, especially in Demolition mode.
- Headbutt: Besides the above two abilities, Mongoose has another basic ability called Headbutt. While fully recharged, pressing the Haste/ Dash (Shift) button will make Mongoose dash at high speed for a short distance. It also makes him harder to hit.
- Equipment
- Smoke Grenade: Mongoose has a canister-type grenade that can be used as signaling, marking, or screening devices for unit movements. If you level up Mongoose to 7, you can unlock “Smokey!” Progression, allowing you to carry an extra Smoke Grenade.
- Frag Grenade: Mongoose carries an offensive grenade that deals massive damage in the small affected area. And you can also cook Frag Grenades and throw them at a perfect time for maximum efficiency.
Additionally, if you level up this character to 3, you can unlock “Kaboom!” Progression, which will allow you to carry two Frag Grenades at a time.
- Flash Grenade: If you reach level 8 Progression with Mongoose, you’ll be able to unlock Flash Grenade. It is a non-lethal explosive device that temporarily disorients an enemy, making it easier for you to kill them. Remember, if you equip Flash Grenade, it’ll replace the Smoke Grenade.
- Ultimate Ability
- R40 Supersling: For Mongoose’s Ultimate, he equips the R40 Supersling, a semi-automatic 40 mm Grenade launcher loaded with 3 proximity-sensitivity grenades. While shot, these grenades will explode upon directly hitting the enemies or coming to close proximity. Otherwise, these will explode after 3 seconds.
If you reach levels 2 and 4 with Mongoose, you can unlock “Heavy-duty” and “Supersling Ammo” Progressions. The “Heavy-duty” Progression will give you extra 10 seconds with your Ultimate ability, while “Supersling Ammo” will provide you with 2 extra ammo, making a total of 5 Grenades in the R40 Supersling.

- Basic Abilities
- Full Health Revival: This ability is pretty self-explanatory. If Malva’s teammates get down, she can revive them, and that revived teammate will be back to full health. Additionally, she can revive quicker than other Exo, Support, and Recon characters because of this ability.

- Medkit: Malva carries a personal-healthcare kit for tactical casualty care. If she or her teammates are wounded, she can drop a Medkit, and the person who uses this Medkit will immediately regenerate to full HP. Also, by reaching level 2 with Malva, you can unlock the “Extra Prescriptions” Progression, that’ll give you 2 additional Medkits to carry.
- Drone Pinscher: It is a tag-along combat drone that follows Malva and attacks nearby enemies. Drone Pinscher is a pretty annoying device to deal with as enemies. It deals pretty good damage and attacks very quickly. Drone Pinscher automatically destroys after 30 seconds.
Also, if you reach level 7 with Malva, you will unlock the Good Boy Progression, which will decrease Drone Pinscher’s cooldown by 20 seconds. - Medi Spray: This equipment only unlocks if you reach level 8 with Malva. Medi Spray is an all-purpose medical aerosol that heals allies in a small radius. Basically, it works like her Ultimate, but it is not that powerful and lasts less.
- Ultimate Ability
- Healing Station: For her Ultimate, Malva carries a device that restores allies’ HP and reduces incoming damage by 20% within the area of effect. It lasts for 20 seconds. However, if you reach level 2 with Malva and unlock the “Durable Station” Progression, it’ll last for additional 10 seconds.
Also, you can unlock the “Healing Vibes” Progression by reaching level 4. This will reduce Malva’s Ultimate cooldown by 50 seconds.

- Basic Abilities
- Exo Kick: Being an Exo Operative, Strix possesses a special exosuit that gives her extraordinary power to bash down doors. She can also kick other moveable objects and push them further compared to Support, Recon, and Trooper Operators.
- Exo Sprint: Strix’s exosuit also provides her with additional momentum. Upon pressing the Haste/ Dash (Shift) Button, Strix can run faster for about 4.5 seconds. However, while in Exo Sprint mode, she can’t use her weapons or other throwables.
- Equipment
- Wall Grenade: It is a throwable device made with sterling Crystalline that creates a time-limited barrier for a short time. Each Wall Grenade creates a wall around 6 meters wide that starts to degrade after 30 seconds automatically.
Initially, you get only one Wall Grenade with Strix. However, if you reach level 3, you get 1 additional Wall Grenade to carry in your backpack.

- Ultimate Ability
- M.556 Volcano: For Strix’s Ultimate, she equips a high-speed six-barrel machine gun. This M.556 fires very rapidly, dealing extensive damage to enemies. Her Ultimate lasts for 30 seconds. However, if you reach level 2 with Strix, you will unlock the “Heavy-duty” Progression, giving you an extra 10 seconds with her Ultimate.
Remember, M.556 Volcano has only 160 rounds. However, by leveling up to level 4, you will unlock the “Make it Rain Progression,” which will give you 60 extra ammo making it a total of 220 rounds in the machine gun.

Kite

- Glass Mine: It is an anti-personnel mine that encases an enemy into a dense Crystalline outgrowth. Enemies will get stuck into this Glass Mine for 5 seconds and take gradual damage.
However, they can shoot and break free from it. By leveling up to 7, Brisa’s Glass Mine cooldown duration will be reduced by 5 seconds. - Shock Charge: It is a stationary electronic device that shocks enemies in the area of effect with electrical discharges. This is a far better device than Glass Mine in most cases. So, it is better to unlock this by reaching max level with Brisa.

- Crystalline Rifle: One of the most powerful Ultimates in the game. It’s a fast and lethal bolt-action rifle designed for Crystalline-infused ammo. With great accuracy, it is a one-shot-kill weapon. However, enemies within the range of the bullet projectiles also get hit by the Crystalline ammo.

By default, Brisa only gets 3 shots and 20 seconds with her Ultimate Crystalline Rifle. However, if you reach level 4, you will get 10 extra seconds and 2 extra bullets for Crystalline Rifle.
