Scarlet Witch is getting a major rework in Marvel Rivals Season 10, giving Wanda Maximoff several new mechanics designed to improve her damage potential, survivability, and impact during team fights.

The update introduces the new Chaos Mark mechanic, a new ability called Scarlet Hex, major changes to her primary fire, and an upgrade to Reality Erasure. Season 10 launches on September 11, 2026, alongside Gorr and a huge collection of hero balance changes.

In brief:

  • Scarlet Witch gains a new Chaos Mark passive mechanic.
  • Scarlet Hex sends out an AoE shockwave that damages and marks enemies.
  • Her primary fire can target multiple Chaos Marked enemies simultaneously and grant Bonus Health.
  • Reality Erasure now deals damage during its wind-up period.

Scarlet Witch Rework Explained

Scarlet Witch Gets New Chaos Mark Passive

The centerpiece of Scarlet Witch’s Season 10 rework is the introduction of Chaos Marks.

Hitting enemies with Dark Seal or Scarlet Hex will apply a Chaos Mark to them. These marks interact directly with her primary fire, giving Wanda a much stronger payoff for successfully landing her other abilities.

Rather than simply relying on her lock-on damage against one opponent, Scarlet Witch will now be encouraged to spread Chaos Marks across multiple enemies before attacking.

New Scarlet Hex Ability Adds AoE Damage

Scarlet Witch is also receiving a brand-new ability called Scarlet Hex.

The ability creates a frontal AoE shockwave that damages enemies caught in its path while applying Chaos Marks. This should give Wanda another way to set up multiple enemies before following up with her primary fire.

Scarlet Hex could be particularly useful during crowded team fights where multiple enemies are grouped together around objectives or choke points.

Scarlet Witch Primary Fire Can Target Multiple Enemies

Perhaps the biggest change comes to Scarlet Witch’s primary fire.

Her Chaos Control can now lock onto all enemies carrying a Chaos Mark simultaneously, rather than focusing its damage on just one target. Dealing damage to marked enemies will also grant Scarlet Witch Bonus Health, adding extra survivability while she remains engaged in combat.

The change could significantly increase Wanda’s pressure during team fights, especially when she manages to mark several opponents with Scarlet Hex or Dark Seal first.

Reality Erasure Ultimate Gets a Major Buff

Scarlet Witch’s Reality Erasure is also becoming more threatening.

Previously, enemies mainly had to worry about the massive explosion at the end of its lengthy charge. In Season 10, the Ultimate will begin damaging nearby enemies during the wind-up, putting considerably more pressure on opponents who remain within Wanda’s range.

Scarlet Witch’s abilities are also receiving numerical adjustments as part of the overhaul, so her exact strength will depend on the final Season 10 balance values.

With Chaos Marks, multi-target primary fire, Bonus Health, Scarlet Hex, and a stronger Reality Erasure, Scarlet Witch could play very differently once Marvel Rivals Season 10 launches on September 11.
