Players have found out that Riot has secretly buffed Kassadin in League of Legends.

Riot constantly does a lot of balance changes in League of Legends. Patch 13.17 is a testament to that, as Riot patches the game generally once every two weeks. Each patch has its own set of changes as Riot tries to pick up trends and data and work on them.

Buffs and nerfs generally change the meta at varying degrees. The aim is to keep the game as balanced as possible. However, given how many champions, items, and such there are, it is a tough job.

Players generally want the changes to be transparent and not too much in one swoop. In light of that, it seems players have found a secret buff to Kassadin. It has caused quite a bit of a reaction amongst the community. Here is what we know so far.

Secret Kassadin Buff

According to a Reddit post, here are the Kassadin Buffs that secretly got patched into League of Legends.

  • R – Riftwalk:
    • Damage: 70/90/110 (+40% AP) >>> 70/90/110 (+60% AP).

Considering such a change in a spammable ability, it is a big change. It just feels weird that Riot missed adding this to the patch notes. This should now inform all players, considering it is impacting win rates for Kassadin at the moment.

Hopefully, we won’t get more of these secret changes soon. This should improve Kassadin as a champion, but it is definitely not appreciated by the players that there were no mentions of these changes.
