Heartsteel is being nerfed for ARAM in League of Legends Patch 12.23.
Another patch is upon us, as Patch 12.23 is set to be released soon in League of Legends. The patch will include many changes, like the small tank buffs, more jungle changes, and mini-reworks. It is going to add a lot to preseason 2023.
Along with those changes, Patch 12.23 will also add the ARAM rework. The rework will add Hexgates to the map, more terrain, a newer look, etc. There were already ARAM changes there were rolled out in Patch 12.22, so ARAM is getting a lot of love. Lastly, ARAM Clash is also coming soon.
With so many ARAM changes coming in the rework, we are also getting a nerf for Heartsteel in ARAM only. The item has been running rampant in League of Legends, and Riot has deemed it to be too strong in ARAM. Thus, the item is being nerfed in ARAM, and here is what we know about it.

Heartsteel Nerfs for ARAM
Both Riot MaxW3ll and Riot Phroxzon have tweeted about the change coming to ARAM. Heartsteel has been a problem in ARAM games. Thus, changes will be as follows.
- Heartsteel Permanent Health Gain (ARAM Only): 10% damage dealt >>> 5% damage dealt.
Since ARAM is a game mode where everyone is forced to fight each other head-on, Heartsteel is a bit of a problem. Utilizing the item properly has been too good for players. Thus, Riot is going to scale it down.
The changes will be applied to League of Legends in Patch 12.23, which will be released on December 7th, 2022.
