In honor of Shushei’s legacy, Riot is giving away players Fnatic Gragas to all players.

League of Legends’ first championship winner, Maciej “Shushei” Ratuszniak, has recently passed away. After a hard-fought battle, Shushei succumbed to cancer on April 28.

Many of the newer League players wouldn’t know who Shushei is, but he was the winner of League of Legends’ first championship back in 2011. Along with his teammates Cyanide, xPeke, LamiaZealot, and Mellisan, Shushei won against “against All authority,” leading to EU’s first Worlds win.

After the Worlds Championship, Shushei played for various teams and later retired in 2013. Despite retiring early, Shushei played a big role in the Polish esports community, which is why it was really heartbreaking, especially for the Polish community, to learn that Shushei passed away. After a long battle with cancer, he passed away on April 28.

To honour Shushei, Riot Games is giving away Shushei’s World Championship skin, Fnatic Gragas, to all League of Legends players. Players can earn this skin by playing 3 games of Gragas. The skin is available until Monday, June 2.
